Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Paw Prints in Cement - Photos 13/10 21Oct 15, 2009 4:47 pm I'm disappointed now Just went to the block today to have a look at the dried slab and the underground 'facilities' to find they had swiped over the cute little paw prints and inscription, with no evidence at all that it ever exisited. What I thought was a memory cemented in history, turns out to be a memory cemented for half a day. There's nothing I can do about it now either. I guess, after all the special planning, I will have to go and do it on a driveway or something. The difficulty being we were thinking of slate pavers (which also can't be imprinted). Back to the drawing board. Hi kec, no I will use The Majestic thread the most, which I've noticed you have also found. I really look forward to seeing photos of yours progress too. Good luck! Back to the drawing board. That is such a shame! I wonder why they did that? Perhaps whoever was there didn't realise that you had done it and thought that kids had done it to be funny or something like that? What a shame. I am sure that you will think of something else to do that will be equally special. Still a shame though. Have to say that I am very jealous of your slab... We don't even have our two trenches anymore They collapsed in on themselves due to all the rain. No they knew, as they pre-warned that it would get covered up, then made a point to say, no - they will simply go around it. There were 5 guys there and they all stopped temporarily to find out what I was doing with the dogs on site. One of them even levelled it off before I did it, to save him going over that area again afterwards. AAGGGHHHH! But would can you do. JonG Have to say that I am very jealous of your slab... Saying that, I reckon you will be up and running in no time at all now. And we have nice weather just around the corner (finally). I'll be keeping on eye on your progress and have my fingers crossed for you. I have no idea then, that is very disappointing. Like I said though, I am sure that you will come up with something just as creative and sentimental. Thankyou for your well wishes Would be great if the weather is good next week and weekend... we don't want it to rain on our wedding day either! I will also be checking in on your progress!
