How long between contract signing and site start?
Our land is titled and settled - so ready to go, and we're waiting for a date to sign our contracts. We're just wondering(hoping!!) if there's a possibility we may get a site start this year.
when I quizzed Henley, they say generally 4 weeks after contract signing. Because our land settled after the contract signing ours was a little different. But we have site start this week... 6 weeks after land settlement.
Heading out there Friday to hopefully see the site cut
It was dependant upon 2 things, permits and having finance unconditionally approved with the bank ready to make drawdown payments, which each took about 8 weeks from signing. The finance delay was really down to the surge in mortgage apps/approvals at the time, so it hopefully isnt taking that long anymore.
Once we had both, 2 weeks was all it took for works onsite to commence (site cut). 12 days later slab was poured (with 2 rain delay days).
Who are you building with?
We're building with Henley and have our Pre-approval from the bank - so really only thing we're waiting for is for them to say come and sign!
