Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 13, 2011 4:00 pm Hi all I'm owner-building my first house using two shipping containers. I've got to the stage where I'm ready to start drywalling. I had until now managed to ignore the issue of how to drywall the container doors, but now there is no escape! The doors consist of the entire end of the container, and the hinges are such that the door swings right away from the sides, leaving a gap. I don't want to weld the doors shut, as I would like to be able to open them out. So I imagine I'm looking at finishing the ends of the walls and doors in some way so that when they're shut they're flush, and when they're open they don't have open ends. Anybody got any good ideas for how to achieve this? As an aside, I'm also looking at cladding the doors with corrugated iron sheet.
