This is pretty much what i'll be doing![/quote] i'd wait till after but means cutting through plaster and then having to re-plaster. also no closet or wardrobe on the other side so can't put external conduit. i found out if i get my sparky in while they're building it can cause all sorts of hassels so i think i'll just wait till i get the keys and thnn will have to cut through the plaster and re-plaster. its a pain in the backside if you ask me. i don't understand how it's my house and i can't do anything to it while they're building and i don't see why they have gotta be so tight and not allow variations after pre-start. i suppose it's cause i went the cheap cheap option with HBC. Re: getting a sparky to put in some extras 7Oct 06, 2009 5:11 pm doktorg I'm building with HBC in WA and they will not allow any variations what so ever after pre-start which is a pain in a backside. I now would like to put in an additional TV point in bedroom 1 and a conduit for foxtel in the living otherwise if i put in foxtel later they will need to put in on the side wall and i'll have a long cable across my living. I've asked HBC for the additional points but they said no and they said also I can't get my own electrician in to do it either. Does anyone know if this is the case or can I just get a sparky to come in put in the TV point/conduit? What could HBC do if I just went ahead and did this? Crickey, talk about being a complete PITA, I cannot believe some builders, what a joke. Hope you can get something sorted out.
