We are buidling with PD also, and although ours is the Francis it sounds like we have the exact same problem. Our problem was pointed out to us after construction had commenced. Basically with the bench being in place it left a very small washing machine space next to the back door. This space would have only fitted a 5KG machine or front loader. We have a 7.5Kg machine so we had a few options to consider: *Make the back door narrower - ie 820 to 720 *Swap the washing machine space around from next to the back door to adjacent to the internal door. We decided to swap the space around, and the builders shifted the internal door space as far across as possible to give us the largest space they could. An option was to make the injternal door smaller from 820 to 720 but we did not need to do this. With the bench being swapped around I could see that it would be slightly too wide to fit next to the back door. They allowed for this by making it a 'banjo' bench (shaped a bit like the ones you see over baths). This look didn't worry us and solved the problem. Happy to say that with a large washing machine, there is plenty of clearance and we have managed to keep both the external and internal doors at 820mm. We thought that leaving the doors that width would make it easier walking in and out with a washing basket in hand. I just looked at your plan and you could swap the space around. Another option that they have now done with the Francis is move the bedroom wall back by 100mm. I think this could also work on the Heywood if necessary. Hope this makes sense? Send me a PM if you need more info as I don't have photo's of this yet.
