Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 01, 2009 7:24 pm In January we paid a company 16000 for 5 electricity poles and connection to our new block and then asked for an additional pole which was $3600. All this was paid upfront including around $3000 energex fees. Around May it was not done and when we enquired the boss of the company claimed he did not realise the job was not finished. Now today he is telling us (5 poles have been delivered) that energex are claiming they did not quote for this sixth pole. He is asking us to pay another $500 for the pole. I think HE did not tell them about the pole. We have already paid for everything quoted to us. What should we do?? Our builder is ready but can't start without electricty. This saga has gone on for 10 months. Do we pay this $500?? WOuld we have a case for the small claims court for the job taking so long????? I really want this just finished so the build can start but this had been a NIGHTMARE and i don't want to give him another cent! HELP!! Re: HELP!!
