A few questions (again)
I completely forgot (or didnt think to) ask the extra cost to plaster the inside of the garage (we have chosen the option to add the workshop to)
So we have chosen the soho 29, with a few changes. The 32 was an option, but we dont want/need the fourth b'droom, so we added the extra cost but put that extra space into our living space.
We have chosen to extend the dining and family room both by about a meter each. Adjusted the ensuite so that we have the ensuite from the soho 32 instead. And other than that, we then pretty much added and extra 30k to the starting price!
I know a few people have said to allow at least 20% of the starting price added on for the extras, at first I thought this meant just for the tiles/carpet upgrades and stuff you choose at your studioM appoint! (thankgod the guy yesterday assured me that this 20% would be due to the things I have already changed such as door/ceiling height, extra cupboard space, eaves, garage remote, flyscreens, downlights etc)
So my question now is, when you go to your studioM appoint, how much 'extra' did you end up adding on? I have been told that 5K is more than enough (depending on what you want to change)
I am just going with a plain jane house and as far as ive seen, any NEW fittings would be nice

I know more than likely I will change the floortiles and carpet (just going off what others have said, but keeping in mind it will only be the wet areas as we are getting hardwood floors laid after handover)
What are the other things that you have changed?
Im just trying to get a really clear indicator of what our final cost will be so that if needed we will have to cut back on a few other changes.
Again, sorry for all the questions, but this is my first ever build and I want to be super prepared

Also, did anyone choose lighter colourbond for windows? I see a lot of the jasper and darker colours, but I was thinking of paperbark or dune maybe? , and this is purely only as I didnt want the dark colours inside (I love the look from the outside but I want a very light house and the dark will not suit the colours/feel that im after. photos or links would be gr8.
TIA
