Hi S&P.. called the Silverdale and they said that the Oxford is not on display.. maybe they already sold it.. I would call Carlisle just to make sure.. It definitely was on display at one stage, dont know where its gone! Hmm, Brookfield is no longer on the display location brochure. But the display was on Black Dog Drive in Brookfield/Melton. Re: UPDATES: Carlisle Homes - General Information Thread 48Oct 01, 2009 11:05 pm thanks S&P, will do that tomorrow... btw, Carlisle gave us the drawings of the house after we made the $1K deposit.. we were supposed to meet again next week.. any idea what will happen in the meeting? are we supposed to finalise the inclusions/upgrades? what else do we need to be preparing for? thanks. What have they done up to this point, ie. what did you do at your last meeting?? Has the sales consultant drawn up sketch of your house on land?? Have you chosen your facade/upgrades/changes?? At your meeting youll need land subdivision plans, Section 52 (I think its 52) and/or title completion. Im guessing you probably havent done these yet.. thats why you need to go back and finalise things. Dont worry if your not absolutely sure on a variation or item, these will be finalised for sure at Tender Appointment. The total price at sales isnt exact, as it doesnt include the soil test results and any further changes you may make. The deposit money is to pay for the soil test. BTW, the 5% deposit is required at contract signing, less the $1,0000 initial deposit. After your meeting, your CLE will call and introduce themselves to you. They will book you in for three appointments: 1. Colour browse - have a look around Spectra and get an idea of your colour scheme 2. Colour selection - choose colours 3. Tender - finalise variations and colours (BTW fees do apply for late changes) Then after this, Carlisle will organise all your contract drawings and building contracts. You must show evidence of your ability to finance the house. Finalise and sign these, and your ready for site start!! Anything else? Hope that helps you out a bit. Re: UPDATES: Carlisle Homes - General Information Thread 50Oct 02, 2009 9:53 am I went through the sales process over a year ago, dont know if Carlisle have changed it.. Can anyone confirm my sales info? Anything different? Re: UPDATES: Carlisle Homes - General Information Thread 51Oct 02, 2009 12:48 pm S&P your pretty much on the ball with that, except the deposit is only 3% not 5% and that is paid at contract signing. Basically you pay $1000 to the sales consulant, and extra $2000 at tender, and the balance of the 3% (of your total house price) is on contract signing. Hope this helps! Hmm they must have changed their processes then.. Thanks for that, hope the info I gave you earlier helped you! Re: UPDATES: Carlisle Homes - General Information Thread 53Oct 02, 2009 2:13 pm Some of the Carlisle reviews on Product Review are very eye opening. Have a peek here.. http://www.productreview.com.au/showite ... m_id=56767 I wouldnt base my opinion/decision/perception on Carlilse Homes solely on the site though. Youll note in some reviews, for Pros, people write 'none'. People usually speak more of negatives than positives, keep that in mind. Thought these reviews would be of some help to those of you looking at building. Welcome, Shyaru! What stage are you up to with your Bordeaux? Re: UPDATES: Carlisle Homes - General Information Thread 59Oct 05, 2009 6:06 pm have not yet signed a contract and already got a problem... Carlisle just advised me that although the Oxford22 is designed for a 12.5m block, it wouldn't fit on my block w/c is 13.25m wide because it is a corner block and council requires 2m easement from the street... i am thinking, they should have realised this before we put in the $1K deposit... ahhhh.. now i'm scared.. any advice on this? i would loose 50mm of my garage.. i'm thinking of asking for compensation of some sort since a loss is a loss.... you reckon they would do my driveway for free Oxford 22 @ Stage12a Point Cook Site Cut : 05/03/2010 Slab Pour : 24/03/2010 Frame Inspected : 06/04/2010 Pre-plaster Inspection: 22/04/2010 PCI: 16/07/2010 Final Inspection: 30/07/2010 Landscaping: who knows??? To be honest, 5 cm off your garage will be no big deal.. I agree they should have told you this beforehand, didnt they look at all your land documents at sales? 0 4975 We are at the stage on our build in Kilcoy, Queensland where we need to get our fencing installed but we cant get any contact details for our neighbours to give them… 0 6155 You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14099 |
