Basically a final walk through with SS to point out any faults/defects to CH and for them to acknowledge and rectify before they hand over the keys.
Takes about 1 hour for a double storey, some people really fine tooth comb over it, but we just picked out the major issues.
SS will then note down all identified defects (if he agreed to them) and then lodge it with the manager who will then type out and send you a letter of all defects identified and agreed to fix at a certain date.
With small painting blemishes and little things like caulking or little minor dents in wall, I wouldn't bother as it would consume more of your time waiting for them than actually patching it yourself.
CH will then usually give themselves or rather organise the relevant person in about 2 weeks time to fix everything.
Thanks Judder
So it usually takes around 2 weeks to process the needed repairs to defects before they are repaired? I won't be moving in until October so waiting at this point isn't a huge issue thankfully
