That sound like my site costs!! lol
I cant remember if i let you guys know the outcome. Our site costs were $28K on flat land in a premium area, it wasn't completely fixed at that stage as they didn't have all the easement details etc, we negotiated with the developer as we had the site costs at the time of signing contracts, they dropped the land price to compensate, not by a lot but it did help. My CLE phoned me once the price was locked in after the developer has queried the cost a few weeks had gone past at this stage. It was fixed at $21K. We need screw piles through out but the difference was the slab, they originally quoted for a H class slab and its been revised down to a standard M class.
At the end of the day, i know that CH is providing a solid foundation as the house next door (Smaller boutique builder) has fill and they had no piering or screw piles just a slab. I think i know who's house is going to be more solid!
My land was settled 3 years ago, and the total site costs is approx 70k with the site "not" designated in Bushfire area. I know CH sometimes over engineer and it maybe good in long run but I was not expecting these costs and seriously hit my budget very hard. Anyways I have signed the contracts and now my journey begins.
Is there anyone on the forum who is also building Viera 29 ?
