Pre-plaster is worth considering too.

Kevin and Theo of New Home Inspections. Kevin at PCI; Theo at pre-plaster. Happiest $1000+ i have ever spent in my entire life! Found some 50 problems at PCI. Works out to about $10 per problem. Saved us easily over $20k of rectification work. Totally worth every single cent. We werent 100% on it to start with but freakin love it!! Also, our SS is your SS so you shouldn't have many issues! He has been back here twice since handover just fixing small issues, it is great. Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2888Apr 20, 2012 8:42 pm CBPH full_house Nice looking kitchen you have there. Did you extend the kitchen bench to the 1000mm and is your floor timber laminate or is it hardwood? Fingers crossed, we will also build in Grand Lakes. I hope your good SS will also be the one assigned to us when that time comes. Cheers. It is timber laminate. It looks great too, I was a bit unsure when my wife decided she liked it at spectra, but am very happy with it. The kitchen, it is the standard bench size carlisle give which is 1000mm. Ohh, let us know how you go re: grand lakes! We love it here, neighbours are so friendly AND they can speak english (unlike our tarneit neighbours). Maybe the standard size for Affinity is 1000mm. With the T range, it's only 800mm. Good to hear that you are loving Grand Lakes. Sounds like a good choice. Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2889Apr 22, 2012 10:39 pm Hi Everyone, Just like to introduce myself , I'm Jay from Melbourne and I'm about to build the "Conway 31" with Carlisle..did some research and found Carlisle to be the best out of the big builders so decided to go with them.. Just a quick question how long did it take you guys from site start to final inspection? They said My site start is in August 2012..do you think I can move in before Xmas 2012? What are your guys experiences with delays or building times for your Carlisle homes builds..?? I look forward to keeping you guys updated on my build.. cheers Jay Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2892Apr 24, 2012 11:15 am Hi CBPH Hows things in the new house ? Can I ask is there anything you would change or wish you had or hadnt done ? Also wheres the updated pics Site Cut 8/04/12 Slab 13/04/12 Frame 18/04/12 Roof 07/05/12 Lock Up 06/06/12 Keys 30/08/12 Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2893Apr 25, 2012 9:27 pm coobri Hi CBPH Hows things in the new house ? Can I ask is there anything you would change or wish you had or hadnt done ? Also wheres the updated pics New house is going good...still waiting for furniture to arrive. No idea why it takes Australians so bloody long to make anything...no wonder no one wants to use our manufacturing!! Pool was to start next week but due to all the rain we are delaying a few more weeks. Front landscaping is well underway, I have the retaining wall almost done and just a matter of bringing in clean top soil, create garden beds etc. Nah, wouldn't change a thing, we covered everything pretty well, the house flip was worth every cent to have garage and alfresco on same side! New pics will come eventually but while I am not doing much work wise I am trying to get landscaping sorted!! Hows the build coming along for you? Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2894Apr 25, 2012 9:52 pm House is flying along chippies have been on site all week even with all this rain had a chat with him yesterday hes going to put some extra beams in where I want to hang TVs on the wall windows on site chippie should be alll finished on Friday Site Cut 8/04/12 Slab 13/04/12 Frame 18/04/12 Roof 07/05/12 Lock Up 06/06/12 Keys 30/08/12 Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2895Apr 26, 2012 12:44 pm Hi Guys,,... I'm getting really nervous... my house is moving soooo fast!... and I’m freaking out trying to organise as much as possible... Driveway, Fences, Landscape, digging and running away protection in the back yard (I have a husky), curtains, lighting, etc, etc. Any recommendation for the driveway in Doreen? what is a reasonable price for a driveway???... I have received quotes from 4.000 to 7.000... (Exposed concrete 5.7w x 6.5 L) Coco Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2896Apr 26, 2012 4:17 pm I dont get why people go exposed...if you break an area when landscaping it is near impossible to match when repairing, look into coloured concrete systems or textured concrete MUCH better options. For the record, I paid $1600 for driveway and new kerb and channel with cross over!! Shows it is not what you know but who :p Anyways, 4-6k is normal for exposed ag in a driveway. Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2897Apr 26, 2012 6:54 pm I will be going exposed for driveway and front baths i think it looks so good ( each to there own I say ) Out back will be going for a colour concrete Anyway was dark when I drove past tonight but could see fall protection up ready for roof tiles Site Cut 8/04/12 Slab 13/04/12 Frame 18/04/12 Roof 07/05/12 Lock Up 06/06/12 Keys 30/08/12 Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2898Apr 27, 2012 5:48 pm We have colored concrete out house is ten months old. It's a pain always cleaning it, every mark shows. We were meant to have gun.metal grey but they did it charcoal!!!! we r now having the back area paved. I spoke to the guy that sold us the pavers and he has exposed, he said its 3 yrs old and starting to chip. If u go for colored dont go to dark, to much work. Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2900Apr 28, 2012 10:14 am dan1978 When do l negotiate price with Carlisle, is it before l put down the $1000 depoist? Yep. Negogiate as much as you can before it goes from sales to head office. 0 5104 We are at the stage on our build in Kilcoy, Queensland where we need to get our fencing installed but we cant get any contact details for our neighbours to give them… 0 6353 You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14347 |
