I want to remove a 4th bedroom and put a little extra space into one of the other bedrooms and the rest into a bigger ensuite/WIR, I would rather build with CH and don't really want to get an architect etc and go down that road. This will allow me to have the ultimate dream house I want?? Any feedback or experiences? Rachael (Omega 23) Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2597Feb 12, 2012 6:47 pm Hi Rachael, We found them pretty good for changes, they adjusted our front of house as per request and were also happy to change the bathroom (double shower to bathroom). We went with affinity so maybe they are a bit more felixble? Not sure. Just push what you want or walk away Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2598Feb 13, 2012 8:02 am butterflypond Does anyone know how flexible CH is on moving walls etc, I had already asked if I can get a bigger shower but was knocked back. With regards to the t range homes, they told me previously that they would minimise the modification made for those houses as they are meant to be built in a short period of time. Not quite sure if this is changed now. The last time I heard about this was end of 2010. It could have been changed. Do check with your sales person All the best for the built, and I do hope you will be able to get what you wished for. ___________________ Building with Carlisle Homes, Montrose 36 in Point Cook http://www.pointcookfb.blogspot.com/ Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2599Feb 13, 2012 12:09 pm Hi Rachel. We made similar changes to our home, splitting one room down the middle to create a butlers pantry behind the kitchen & using the remaining for a study. We're also building an Affinity range home though, & I've also heard as the others have said that they're less flexible with the other ranges. Just ask your sales agent, it's worth running by them. As a result, you can not move almost any walls in bathroom, laundry, toilet and ensuite. And depending where the sink is, you may not be able to change the position of kitchen island bench too. Hope this helps. 0 4987 We are at the stage on our build in Kilcoy, Queensland where we need to get our fencing installed but we cant get any contact details for our neighbours to give them… 0 6173 You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14126 |
