We had major bricking problems, which we were really worried about bringing up. We had several meetings with the SS and Construction Manager. The bricks were stressing me out to no end. I could totally see us in a fight at the end because I imagined they would only fix what they had to and would leave the rest that was borderline. However, Carlisle agreed to fix the bricks completely, with the company of our choice. We are stoked with the outcome and also happy we chose Carlisle to build our house with. All builders will have problems because they contract out work to subbies. However, the quality of the builder is shown with how the builder themselves react to problems. Some will refuse to fix anything, but others will make it their job to ensure that the customer is happy. It's been a long build for us... But we are at the end of it when we get out keys tomorrow! Good luck for the rest of your build MrsG! Building Monaco32 with Carlisle Homes in Alamanda Estate 20/08/2010 - HANDOVER 24/8!! Its how they go about fixing the issues and how they deal with them that counts! There will be issues, there will be problems and there will be disagreements. As long as Carlisle Homes fixes them and fixes them so YOU are happy (and they will most of the time) the end result is what we are seeing now! I have been there, done it! Experienced it! Lived it! When I build again (and I will) it will definately be with Carlisle Homes ... 0 4984 We are at the stage on our build in Kilcoy, Queensland where we need to get our fencing installed but we cant get any contact details for our neighbours to give them… 0 6161 You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14107 |
