MyHomeoneThread Our Oxford22 Blog Re: The CARLISLE HOMES General Information Thread 413Nov 21, 2009 8:14 pm thanks everyone for your replies...i will work out which box the camera is in and get cracking with the photos!!! Matt, did you get CH to come and look at the gas issue for you or is it technika's responsibility and are they quick in their response time with the oven issues? S&P- we are ok this weekend to be without it, its just a pain coz we have to go to our parents house to shower and we cant cook anything(which may also be a positive !!!) We actually dont have a CS ours finished after our PCI so the construction manager took over our house, but we dont have his number so we will just have to call our CLE on Monday! I hope your microwave issue gets sorted soon! Cheers, Sam Re: The CARLISLE HOMES General Information Thread 414Nov 21, 2009 8:21 pm SammyJ, Ours was fixed by the plumber. I will put a call in to Carlisle for you now and see if the plumber can get out there and have a look for you. Gas is a very serious issue and should be treated carefully. I will let you know how I go. Matt Re: The CARLISLE HOMES General Information Thread 416Nov 21, 2009 9:27 pm Thanks everyone.. Im sure the microwave issue will be done and dusted soon!! I just thought it had been solved.. but waiting, waiting... Carlisle thought we had received the new microwave/trim kit.. but we hadn't.. Besides that, they ordered the wrong items, so back to the waiting game. Its not that great of a deal, just a long, long wait!! Cant wait to have just one microwave in the house.. the house looks horrible with an old style microwave sitting there!! That pool looks awesome!! Re: The CARLISLE HOMES General Information Thread 417Nov 22, 2009 1:58 pm Jayneylou, I just read your blog and realised Jessica was your colour consultant!! We had her for our colour selections too... she was very helpful and informative. Whens your site start date? Re: The CARLISLE HOMES General Information Thread 418Nov 22, 2009 4:19 pm Jessica was fantastic, reassured me that my selections weren't stupid and gave me good ideas on the couple of times I was unable to make a decision. For example the garage door profile. I couldn't decide on the Tuscan or the Madison (the difference being skinny or wide panel profiles). She quickly pointed out that the skinnier panels would probably be less likely to show small dents if something hits them. My site start isn't until March - as thats the first date they have scheduled for building in the North. Re: The CARLISLE HOMES General Information Thread 420Nov 23, 2009 4:45 pm Salt&PepperMkII dtrance Hi, Thought I'd join to say hello. We're building with Carlisle Homes in Williams Landing, very close to hand over stage. My overall impression of Carlisle is average (5-6/10), some of the brick work in my garage is shocking, heaps of cracks and one of the bricks at he base of a wall is - well, there seem to be only half a brick there, the rest being patched up my sand. I can't believe they allowed it to happen. Yet the supervisor doesn't seem to even acknowledge this problem. Cedar Woods connected power to the area ages ago, yet Carlisle didn't bother to do their homework properly and allowed the tradies to use a generator, now they want to whack me with a $500+ charge for it (or $1000+ they claim they can vary the contract). Postive: Warren Dibble @ Marriot Waters is a good man. That's my thoughts. Hi to Alan, our Williams Landing neighbour - if you read this. Thanx for alerting me to this site. What house are you building?? If there are issues bothering you, sort it out with your supervisor with good communication. If that doesnt work, I suggest you contact someone from Carlisle management. Hi Mate, Prominence 38. Made contact with the supervisor, he's only willing to replace 2 x bricks, he said the big cracks in the bricks are acceptable and normal (sure as hell didn't notice this at their display homes). I am not happy about that, so I'm looking for a building inspector. I won't settle until my inspector until I hear from my building inspector. andy I suggest you dont put up with it and get senior management involved . for eg.we are putting timber floors to all living areas after hand over with firm negotiations and several emails got a rebate, a few friends have done the same volume builders are all the same ,they have tight schedules and turnover is the key, they want to be bogged down get indepandant advise such as a building inspector and keep copies of transactions very important Hi, Thnx for advice. We'll take it on board, I'll hear from my independent inspector and take it from there. mattwalker First .. Welcome! Second ... It is never nice when you get an unexpected bill especially when it may have been able to be avoided I am lead to belive that Carlisle Homes are already on the case with this one for you. Good luck with it Hi Mate, Thanx for the welcome. I've requested an itemised invoice be sent so I can verify their claim against the dates stated by PowerCore & Cedar Wood. We had no warning, no notification, not even a single hint regarding the use of a generator - then suddenly Carlisle demanded $1000+ for the use of it, you can imagine my surprise - such poor service. The supervisor claim they are within their rights to do such thing, but it's totally against their corporate slogan and poor practice imo. I am not happy with all the cracks in the bricks; this issue I raised and was told it was normal. If it was normal, I'd dare them put them on the display homes - atleast people can say, what you see is what you get. I'll upload some photos of the cracked bricks when I get a hold of them. Our first presentation is this Thursday, it makes me feel kinda pointless rocking up because the supervisor has said he's not going to do anything bar replacing two extremely ******* bricks. Anyone recommend a building inspector we can call upon? 0 4934 We are at the stage on our build in Kilcoy, Queensland where we need to get our fencing installed but we cant get any contact details for our neighbours to give them… 0 6130 You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14021 |
