Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 6204Jun 02, 2015 3:45 pm Just had our colour selection yesterday, tender next Tuesday! The girls we had were really lovely and helpful! Got it all finished by 11:30am haha. Anyone know a rough guide as to how much it is for: • Silk Gloss finish laminate for the kitchen/bathroom cupboards • Full render to the facade (Single story) • 450 x 450 tiles to bathrooms instead of 400 x 400 (labour cost only) • Stone benches 20mm for Ensuite and main bathroom • Laundry bench ext • Island bench ext • Making a small window a bigger half wall window in the study We have our tender on Tuesday, so not a big deal if no one really knows because we can find out soon enough. We just thought we would throw it out there and see if anyone had previously priced these? http://kateandnathsblog.blogspot.com.au/ Carlisle Homes Addison 24 - Warralily, Armstrong Crk, Geelong • Colour: June 1 Tender: June 9 Contract: July 3 • Site Title: Dec 2015 • Site Start: March 1 2016 • H/Over: June/July Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 6205Jun 02, 2015 3:52 pm Atlantique29 Looks great OceanBlue. We are also building with the Jamison facade. Does your balcony have a water drainage for when water comes in from raining? Did you do water proofing on it? We were wondering if rains and water may cause damage on the balcony and that's why, were thinking of water proofing it. What do people think of this idea? Thanks! Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 6212Jun 02, 2015 11:27 pm OceanBlue your house looks fantastic. Congrats on the work thus far! Thanks alexz1101, Yes there is a drain right in middle of balcony and it is tiled. I am not sure about water proofing, I guess I should have checked. Now whats done is done, we will see if we get in some trouble. Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 6216Jun 05, 2015 1:31 pm Oceanblue if you don't mind me asking what brick have you chosen? Looking at the pics it looks fantastic? Also did you get with the grey mator or upgrade it? Thanks Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 6217Jun 05, 2015 1:47 pm union7 Oceanblue if you don't mind me asking what brick have you chosen? Looking at the pics it looks fantastic? Also did you get with the grey mator or upgrade it? Thanks Hi Union7, Thanks for that. We went with Chestnut brick, it was in access range thus no extra charge and natural grey mortar hence no upgrade there either. Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 6218Jun 07, 2015 8:10 am First, have to say can't believe someone else with a similar user name to me just built a Carlisle. (Oceanblue above) Too Damn Funny @Oceanblue I had to look twice at the thread wondering why people were congratulating me. Anyway, our build with Carlisle has been nothing but stressful - they've made so many errors and final inspection was a disappointment - so much NOT done or needing fixing. They've really ruined our experience and taken the joy out of building our first home. Would NOT recommend them. Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 6220Jun 07, 2015 9:32 am Yes, we have a great one. He went through the house very closely for two hours on the inspection day and we should get his report today/tomorrow. I'm glad we have him on our side - he's tough and they know it. So much damage too to different items (cupboard, window). Painting on all the window frames, plastering fixes, the list goes on and on. 0 5015 We are at the stage on our build in Kilcoy, Queensland where we need to get our fencing installed but we cant get any contact details for our neighbours to give them… 0 6209 You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14160 |
