I've just paid a $1000 initial deposit on a Viera29 but am very disappointed with the lamiate and the ugly expansion joints. CH refuse to install a cork expansion which makes no sense as it it the more common way of installing joint. I think it is there mechanism to accept an ugly flooring or pay $5000 for Category 3.
Please let me know what if anyone has installed the laminate flooring and what the expansion joint looks like or any other way to get out of it.
They do look ugly. You do have a couple of choices
. Just get them to do it and then remove the expansion joint post handover and replace with a cork one. Not a hard job. Remove quad. Lift some boards . Remove expansion joint.
. Get flooring done post handover. If you have flooring pack promo ask for credit. I bet you can get the laminate done post handover without any expansion joint.
. You might find you can afford engineeredflooring if doing post handover. Much better than laminate.
