Browse Forums Building A New House Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 4877Feb 23, 2014 3:03 pm ubet7 Sojn Can I know what color do you choose? which house are you building and where is the display house? I looks like they may have put the wrong color. All Carlisle display house that I visit use warm white as their lights color. In this case, the display house wall if it effected by the warm white lights, it will be creamier not grayer. If your SS state that the display house is grayer because of the lights, he must be wrong. Go to your house, take a picture at a room (no blitz) and go to the display house and do the same thing. then you can compare them exactly. Thank you Bakso, We chose the wall colour from the Barwon (double story) display at Ambrosia. We are building the Indaina ( single story). The colour is dulax 'Grand piano'.... We did not expect it to be the same as the display cause of the size of the two houses.....but it has come out totally different! My SS says it is the 'grand piano' that they have used & cannot do anything about it..... Will try to take photos & justify our argument! Thank you again!
If the colour is vastly different (eg - say yours is much darker) then likely the display was "Grand Piano Half" or "Grand Piano quarter" - the half and quarter versions of any colour come up very different - search on the dulux website or go to Bunnings and see. It would be easy for a sales rep to just say "grand piano" rather then "grand piano half". Always then double check the colour on the web or at local hardware store. Going "half" and "quarter" is very common these days.
Thanks Ubet7, We confirmed all that before colour selection. We were informed by the SC that at the display centre that it was full strength ' Grand Piano'. We picked up an A4 size sample from the paint shop before we made the final decision. I really cannot understand how it could be so different between the two houses! Hopefully if we go with them we come across the same person. Yes we are buying a t range home but the spectra voucher is an incentive from loan studio to go with them, regardless of the house type I think. What's this spectra voucher? I'm using Loan Studio and I haven't heard anything about a voucher...? Hi tempest sky, We deposited on 31st oct and when I spoke to loan studio they were offering a $500 spectra voucher. We didn't use them as I used my broker. Thanks Dakota30! I might ask my LoanStudio mortgage broker about it then.
