Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 29, 2009 4:30 pm We've signed with a builder to have our custom build and I'm peaking over the ensuite. We've changed the layout a couple of times and I have to let him know the final decision by tomorrow. I haven't got a scan online of the layout so i'll describe it. (its like the Milano by Metric0n ensuite). As you walk in the shower (900x1200) is on the right, then theres the toilet, then a long window and on the facing wall is a vanity with double sinks and wide mirror. Now my quandary is with the toilet positioned as such, there is no where to hang the toilet roll! So I asked for a wall on on the shower (so its enclosed on three sides). The thing I'm worried about is the layout like this I've seen had all glass on the shower and it looked nice and open, so I'm worried the shower will be all dark and visually cut off the rest of the room. We have 2700 high ceilings and I have the option of having the wall to 2100 but hubby says it may look like a caravan park toilet block lol. Should I just have it to the ceiling? The room is 2990x1950 thanks Re: Ensuite Shower advice please. 2Sep 29, 2009 4:35 pm How about half a wall? Just enough high to match the height of the vanities across .. that will give you enough space/height to put the toilet roller .. I agree, a full wall will spoil the feel of the bathroom (as i visualised from your description!) Good luck --- I don't have a signature - just this sentence saying that I don't have one - that'll do! Re: Ensuite Shower advice please. 3Sep 29, 2009 5:14 pm My sister in-law has a toilet roll holder attached to the glass of the shower. The one they have constantly falls off, however I think if it was properly installed in the first place it may solve all of your problems. View our blog at: http://room4acubby.blogspot.com/ Thanks for the suggestion. The space between shower and sinks was too tight. I agree about the toilet location. So I have tried two other options: The lower one is… 3 4563 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 8166 |
