If the builder starts running into old pipes they will start charging for the extra work. The Demo guy should remove all old remnants of the house, he should sift the soil to remove pieces of brick, old footings, pipes, drains etc. Depending on the age of the house, make sure that they have an Asbestos removal license and that you know all the rates up front. "Asbestos" is the Ka-Ching word in Knock down as "Rock" is in the rebuild stage. Your prices should include per bag and bulk lift.
