Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 21, 2007 1:09 pm Hi all,
This is my first post after reading through a lot of the great information in the forum. We are currently trying to find a good quality builder in the north west of Melbourne to build our dream home. As my user name suggests we are first time home builders so we are looking for any advice and input. We heading more towards the smaller, custom builders with the only large builder we would consider would be Porter Davis. I was wondering if anyone had any feedback or experiences with Johns Constructions, which is based in Melbourne. Any feedback advice would be appreciated Re: Johns Constructions - Melbourne 3Nov 01, 2009 7:04 pm I went through the Johns Constructions displays at Alamanda during the week and was impressed. I would also be interested in any feedback from anyone that has built through them. I assume the quote was based on a custom floor plan? We will be going back to the display in Point Cook this weekend and having another look and talking to the sales people. They are high on our list at the moment. Re: Johns Constructions - Melbourne 8Sep 09, 2010 7:13 pm malvikcs where are you building? We have gone with Johns for our knockdown\rebuild. We havent finished construction yet (hopefully sometime next month) but so far everything has gone extremely well. I would build with them again and would recommend them to others. Re: Johns Constructions - Melbourne 9Oct 23, 2010 12:11 pm We are almost finished building our new house with Johns Constructions. I cannot speak highly enough of Arthur and Con. Nothing has been too much trouble, and the quality of tradesmanship is second to none. Would highly recommend them to anybody who is considering building a new home. Communication is excellent. Re: Johns Constructions - Melbourne 11Jul 25, 2011 4:06 pm Hi, We are planning to build our first home with Johns. Anyone who has built with them recently? We had a bad experience with a small builder and are skeptical about using another small builder but the bigger ones don't build custom homes. Please reply if anyone has build with Johns about your experience with them Thanks Re: Johns Constructions - Melbourne 12Mar 28, 2012 8:13 am I thought I would try and revive this thread to see if there was anyone out there who has recently built or is currently building with Johns Constructions? I'm looking at building my first home in Taylors Hill and am now in the process of shortlisting floors plans and builders. There is a particular type of floor plan I'm after and they offer a couple of options that suit. My main concern I guess is that they are a lesser known builder so I'd like to hear any comments and experiences people have had with them. Thanks Re: Johns Constructions - Melbourne 13Oct 26, 2012 10:53 am This is probably too late, but we built in Point Cook with Johns Constructions in 2005 and they were AWESOME!! Nothing was ever a problem, and they were so easy to deal with - changes to plans were no great issue, and communication was fantastic - we are now looking at building again - they'll be our first choice Re: Johns Constructions - Melbourne 14Feb 21, 2018 3:56 pm Hi Guys, just wanted to check whether anyone has built with Johns constructions recently? Re: Johns Constructions - Melbourne 15Apr 03, 2018 10:28 am Hi, We built our first home with John's constructions in 2012 and are planning to build our next home with them too. They are good if you are going for a custum build and their quality of workmanship is alsoo very good. A few things to keep in mind. They don't do fixed site consts The take long time to complete the design amd approval process. Once that is done the build is relatively stress free. Ashrita I do enjoy the drama:-D In his latest two videos he has started bringing security guards to site, I am waiting for the punch on to begin lol 6 45547 It's all about wireless, self install now. The cost/benefit of wired setups for the house are no longer what they used to be. Lots of wireless options.
