Here in WA, depending on the amount of tiger tails required, they are put on for a couple of hundred dollars. While you have them on the phone I would also be asking them about the legality of you neighbor's supply running across your property. I know that in a lot of states, this is not allowed due to liability issues.
The actual tiger tails take about ten minutes to put on for a standard service wire. Hope this helps. Col Re: Help! How much should power line tiger tail tagging cost 18Mar 24, 2015 2:32 pm Hi , My name is Peter and I work for Sydney Tiger Tails (Part of the Australian Power Services Group) If anyone has any questions in relation to Tiger Tails I am happy to try and answer them for you. In Sydney NSW Ausgrid and Endeavour have slightly different rules in relation to Tiger Tails depending on what lines you are talking about. Service Mains - The lines running fro the pole to your house, building or private pole. Low Voltage Mains - The Main lines running from pole to pole, High Voltage Mains - Main Lines that carry high voltage (Usually located at the top) Telecommunications Lines - Usually a thick black line running from pole to pole (or to the house) and usually well below the power lines. Tiger Tails can be expensive because of a combination of work cover and the energy authority. These two organisations places a mountain of requirements on the installers before they can even think about doing the work. In addition to this for some kinds of work, the energy authorities don't allow ANYONE to do the work except for themselves. This monopoly arrangement means you must pay whatever they say Anyway, if anyone has any questions feel free to ask. Our relationship with the owner is good, but I'm not sure if I want to impose putting a pole on their property. Your conversation with your neighbour must have gone well… 4 9318 7 11994 4 10822 |
