Pics page 9. 163Jul 29, 2010 2:26 pm Well, I ended up changing my wall colour to Wattyl's "Your Shadow". I'm actually happier with this colour than I was with the Donkey 1/4. So I drove past the house today - no painter in sight, but the front door was wide open. After calling out a hello and getting no response, I decided to indulge myself in a look at the inside. I managed to get a good look at all my cabinets and what was even better was I could stand in my kitchen and get a real sense of the size of it - (okay, so I admit, I stood at the space where the stove is going to be and pretended to reach for different things like spoons, spices and the pantry just to see how far away they were ) One strange thing I noticed though was that my kitchen bench top was gone. I check my photos and it was definitely there when I took photos through the window last time, so I'm not sure what's going on. The sink/stove off cuts were still there (and they seemed to be the correct colour), but the bench itself has vanished. And now, some photos: The bathroom cabinets: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100729-11BathroomVanity1.jpg The bathroom/ensuite sink: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100729-16BathroomVanitySink1.jpg The laundry sink and cupboard: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100729-17LaundrySink1.jpg The laundry overhead cupboards http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100729-18LaundryOverheadCupboards1.jpg The ensuite cabinet: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100729-21EnsuiteVanity1.jpg The kitchen: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100729-28Kitchen1.jpg The kitchen cutlery drawers: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100729-31KitchenCuttleryDrawers1.jpg Can't wait for the paint to be done so I can see the new colour! Pics page 9 165Aug 19, 2010 1:29 pm Well.. it seemed to take forever but my painting appears to be done (finally!!). I've spent a couple of weeks calmly repeating to myself that it's a quality job and it's going to take time. Anyway, I went past the house today and after spending a good 5 minutes carefully taking photos through the windows, I found the back door was unlocked so I decided to go inside and start again. And now... what you've all been waiting for, some pics (the colours all seem a little darker than they should for some reason...): My bedroom - that's the ensuite door leaning up against the wall, gives you a really good idea of the nice contrast of the Flokati against the Your Shadow: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100819-22Mybedroom.jpg And again in the front entrance way: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100819-12Hallway.jpg The laundry (see what I mean about the colours being off... those overhead cupboards are actually the same colour as the under bench one): http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100819-20Laundry.jpg The kitchen (I'm a little obsessed with my kitchen ) The benchtop seems to have reappeared, complete with the waterfall end which I'm very glad I decided to get: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100819-37Kitchen.jpg http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100819-36Kitchen.jpg The family/dining/kitchen: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100819-31FamilyandDining.jpg And very exciting.. my tiles - delivered yesterday (according to the packing slip anyway): http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100819-51TileDelivery.jpg I notice the tiler has been in and done the concrete slabs for the shower bases, I'm hoping tiling doesn't take too long, I have a lot of it but it's a fairly small house. And the photos I'm about to post, even though they were taken this morning, are already out of day because while I was distracted getting a driveway/concrete quote, the shower screens, mirrors and fly screens were installed. But the best news of all, is that I have my PHI (pre handover inspection) for next Thursday, 16th!!! I'm very, very, very excited!! From what I've seen on my house so far, I doubt there will be anything major to do as a result of my PHI, so I'm guessing I might get the keys a couple of weeks afterwards - really keeping my fingers crossed for an early October move. Anyway, some (already outdated) pics: My entry hall, taken from outside though because everything is well and truly locked up - you can see the ducted heating controller/return which is new too. http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100909-08EntryHall.jpg The study - complete with all the door furniture, power points and a light: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100909-09Study.jpg Laundry - I love my tiles, and I'm so happy they go all the way around the bench, my plans seem to indicate that they would only be above this sink so this was a pleasant surprise: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100909-10Laundry.jpg My ensuite and bedroom (the room looks so different with the shower screen up but I just didn't have the energy to drag out the camera and take more pics - I'll be seeing it everyday anyway, soon enough ): http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100909-17Ensuite.jpg And finally, the family/dining/kitchen... you can see the floor tiles - they've come up wonderfully. I've been told the carpet should be in tomorrow so I may just indulge myself a little and make a return visit over the weekend. http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo276/sjs137/20100909-15FamilyRoom.jpg The countdown is on... 7 days to the PHI...
