Havent built with them, but when you build with a project builder, it is a common practice to charge a variation fee on modifications to the original signed contract.

Yes we have he same thing with this builder and had made a variation before but now they are saying they are not accepting any more variatiosn now that things are underway. COntract seems to say they dont have to accept them, but it does not seem in the spririt of the idea and youd think theyd want to collect the fee of you!!

Welcome to the forum.
We currently have 1 review for Seacrest on BB and appears they have had some issues with the service but have thought the quality to be good. No mention of the variations issue you mention though.

The variation situation is pretty normal.
The experience we had was that once tender was signed, there were no more structural variations. Once contract was signed, there were no more variations.
We never made it to the contract signing....
