Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 16, 2007 10:11 am Hi to all,
Have been reading posts on this forum now for about a week, have found some really good info that will hopefully help us when we embark on building our new home. We are just about to purchase a block of land at Laurimar, Doreen, Vic, it is a flat block and it is just over 800m2. Has anyone had any experiences with building in this part of Vic ? We have had a look at the modern homes, but at the moment seem to be favoring a period style home that the Premier Building Group have as a show home. Any information is most welcomed, and we hope to be able to contribute with our future experience. Simon Re: Flat Block - Laurimar 2Jun 16, 2007 10:22 am Hi Simon,
Welcome! We saw some of Premiers homes and were really impressed.... Look forward to sharing your experiences here. Re: Flat Block - Laurimar 3Jun 16, 2007 12:20 pm Hi Simong,
We built in Doreen in the Vaucluse estate (closer to Yarrambat). We built with the builder which cannot be named but starts with "M" you can figure it out and I would definitely not recommend them especially seeing as though you'll end up with the same site supervisor. Sounds like you are looking at different style homes anyway. Have you tried Comdain I think it is? I've heard good reports about them from people who built in Laurimar. I have no info on Premier Building group though I'm sorry. Good Luck. I'll wave when I pass you on Yan Yean Road. I would suggest you simply go and talk to council about your proposal, most councils are getting onboard with ancillary dwellings. There is no benefit in keeping it… 1 4069 I think I know the answer but just checking to see if anyone has had experience with it.
