Hi to all,
Have been reading posts on this forum now for about a week, have found some really good info that will hopefully help us when we embark on building our new home.
We are just about to purchase a block of land at Laurimar, Doreen, Vic, it is a flat block and it is just over 800m2. Has anyone had any experiences with building in this part of Vic ?
We have had a look at the modern homes, but at the moment seem to be favoring a period style home that the Premier Building Group have as a show home. Any information is most welcomed, and we hope to be able to contribute with our future experience.

Look forward to sharing your experiences here.

We built in Doreen in the Vaucluse estate (closer to Yarrambat).
We built with the builder which cannot be named but starts with "M" you can figure it out and I would definitely not recommend them especially seeing as though you'll end up with the same site supervisor.
Sounds like you are looking at different style homes anyway. Have you tried Comdain I think it is? I've heard good reports about them from people who built in Laurimar.
I have no info on Premier Building group though I'm sorry.
I'll wave when I pass you on Yan Yean Road.

I wouldn't be rushing in to sign up with one builder until all the reports and information is released Dont get suckered into last builder standing because he pointed out…

Your kinda doing this arse about. Engage in a draftsman/architect first. They will guide you on what you need to do. You risk soil test being done in the wrong location…
