Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 18, 2009 11:40 am Hi George, That's a nice size home for your first house We recently built the Illoura which we love living in. It's not our first house but I have a link to my blog in my signature which you might find of some help with upgrades and extras etc. Extending the alfresco is a good option, I wish we had done that. We are building in Jacksons Hill, Sunbury. This forum has been great (3rd home but first build) preparing us for what is involved and what to expect and when, thank you to all the posters. Stay tuned I have no doubt when the build starts I will start a thread with lots of photos. d Re: Building My First Home Newtown33 with Porterdavis. :) 3Sep 18, 2009 12:04 pm The facade was husbands choice, Shoalhaven. Colorbond Roof. We did like the one as displayed in Caroline Springs however PD no longer do that one as apparently the exposed eaves was causing problems. Will have to go and have a look at the facade you like. Re: Building My First Home Newtown33 with Porterdavis. :) 4Sep 18, 2009 12:06 pm mr.georgethomas hey hels, i wish their options and upgrades cost this much tho....even simple changes or upgrades cost minimum 1.5k.... how is their service after the house is built...like maintenance etc... We have only been in the house for a few weeks and we had quite a few things unfinished. I made a complaint through our CSC and now the construction manager is handling our case and things are getting done, so we are happy. I have painters coming next week because we had a bad paint job which needs to be fixed up. Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. We went with traditional but that is doscontinued now. The newtown is very similar to the illoura except for our master bed is at the back and the newtown has more ensuites.
