Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our H3nley Voyager 383- light shopping adventures 21Sep 23, 2009 1:20 pm Great minds! This is our library light, and the 9 globe Madrid one will go in the master bedroom - not too excessive do you think? I love that first light with the cut outs, it's gorgeous! ps. we won our D'Amani battle with Henley - no Technika for us!!! Re: Our H3nley Voyager 383- light shopping adventures 22Sep 23, 2009 1:26 pm aaron4erin ps. we won our D'Amani battle with Henley - no Technika for us!!! That's so awesome!!!!! Thanks for letting us know I got a phone call this morning from our admin asking me to check my email and respond to a few "things we think might work better in your house" and I thought the whole way home in the car, it's game on biatch, let's have this Tecknika war I'm ready for ya. But I checked my mail and she just wanted to suggest different door handles for our pantry (which I agree are a more practical choice) So got all worked up for nothing I agree, those Beacon lights are fab aren't they??? Pretty timeless I think and they will g really well with our deep chocolate wood bedroom furniture. Was debating whether or not to get the singular hanging one in the ensuite toilet, but thought 80 bucks might be a bit extravagant for loo lighting..... we will see! Re: Our H3nley Voyager 383- light shopping adventures 23Sep 23, 2009 1:34 pm Felistopher I agree, those Beacon lights are fab aren't they??? Pretty timeless I think and they will g really well with our deep chocolate wood bedroom furniture. Was debating whether or not to get the singular hanging one in the ensuite toilet, but thought 80 bucks might be a bit extravagant for loo lighting..... we will see! We bought those for our small hallway, and the ensuite toilet, and main toilet. I agree, a little pricey, even though they were on sale... but I like the idea of having the same style through most the house. I love how the brass looks so much like timber, that's the look we were after. Love them! Your bedroom one will look great with dark timber. Cant wait to move into our house and you yours, because I love seeing all the furnished pics! Re: Our H3nley Voyager 383- light shopping adventures 24Sep 23, 2009 1:43 pm Thanks heaps for letting me know about Maroondah and Croydon, had to drive to Narree Warren today and thought i was going to tear my hair out! Love your choices, especially the outdoor garage lights. We are after something similar for our Garage... will have to check out northernlighting.com.au. I also love the cut out hanging- would look great if you could have matching lamps on your side board in your house. Building a H3nl3y Charleton- its a home, not a house. Re: Our H3nley Voyager 383- light shopping adventures 25Sep 23, 2009 1:54 pm Thanks Emmsie!! The garage lights I saw at the Epping lighting shop (Cooper st, opposite the plaza). If you tell them you were sent there by Bec at henley in Mernda they will look after you as they are the lighting shop henley recommends. Re: Our H3nley Voyager 383- light shopping adventures 26Sep 23, 2009 2:05 pm aaron4erin ps. we won our D'Amani battle with Henley - no Technika for us!!! Fantastic news Erin!!!!! You must be so relieved that you didn't give in to them!! Felistopher - I love the birdie lamp - so cute! Think my one dog would just love it too!!!!!! He has that real 'love' for all things 'bird-like'!! Re: Our H3nley Voyager 383- light shopping adventures 27Sep 23, 2009 5:18 pm RhinoCharlie Felistopher - I love the birdie lamp - so cute! Think my one dog would just love it too!!!!!! He has that real 'love' for all things 'bird-like'!! I bet we will find out that it costs like a thousand dollars.... and in that case it won't be an option! I know what you mean though; our Henry (pictured) will just love it Re: Our H3nley Voyager 383- light shopping adventures 28Sep 23, 2009 5:33 pm Thanks for that, i think we are venturing out this weekend to get our floor boards and lighting DONE! Just when we think we have things settled we change our minds, esp. my husband! Over the tooing froing in our choices! THe nicest things are always ridiculously expensive- hopefully the lamp isn't! Goo Luck! Building a H3nl3y Charleton- its a home, not a house. Re: Our H3nley Voyager 383- light shopping adventures 29Sep 25, 2009 7:59 am I know what it's like to 'to and fro' Emmsie!!! But I think the more you look the more you become fixed on what you like and what you don't Well to update you all- we got an email yesterday from Henley, wanting to amend/clarify a couple of tiny little things. They have recommended we change the door handles on the pantry to the Sofia type (rather than the fixed Tekform lip pull tiny ones we had) because as a result of having access through the pantry into the house this doorway is now a "highly trafficable area." A good idea we think. They also wanted to know if we wanted "provisions" for the future gas heating (i.e. a powerpoint in the roof) to which we said no thank you. And apparently our lovely ensuite feature tile was left off our colour selection docs so they wanted to know if we still wanted it- yes please! Although everything- down to the last detail- is now finalised, we still haven't been given a start date. We are guessing it will be very soon though! Fingers crossed! Re: Our H3nley Voyager 383- an update 30Sep 25, 2009 8:12 am Hey, its great to see that they ask questions and just dont bat on and have to fix it later. Hop you get your site start soon. * Building the H3nl3y S0H0 in Point Cook - Land settled 11 Dec 09 - Site start 5 Mar - Slab 26 Mar - Frame 20 Apr - Build thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=22763 Re: Our H3nley Voyager 383- light shopping adventures 31Sep 25, 2009 8:23 am I think our site start was about 2 weeks after this "checking" stage. I promise to be a faithful pic poster So relieved to have a date, finally! On the lighting front, we managed to get my brother the sparky to source the lights at trade discount for us. The one with the nice snowflake cut outs- $134 (as opposed to $299 at Freedom)- goes to show the extraordinary mark up on this stuff... Re: Our H3nley Voyager 383- start date is here: no action :-( 40Oct 08, 2009 3:32 pm Ok so today's the day we were told to expect a site start. But nothing has happened Suspected we may not be as close to starting as they kept telling us because I emailed a couple of days ago to ask if things were still going ahead ok and was told "your site supervisor is unknown at this stage" and was also told we are getting a new admin person. Doesn't sound to me like they're ready to go!! *sigh* And so we keep waiting... can someone with more experience give me their insight? land is pretty much flat its pretty much at the top of a hill. left and right neighbours are flat in line with my… 0 7476 2 4400 there should be ss cable so you can pull up bore pump for service 1 3181 |
