Fabulous kitchen and love the recessed lights. Cant wait to see your backyard complete with plants. Going to look just lovely. Re: HENLEY Voyager 383- deck pics 9/11 982Nov 17, 2010 3:30 pm Gosh Fel.....you have certainly done heaps....its been an absolute zillion years since i've been on H1....have been busy trying to put our home together, as I speak Tony and Twiggy are out in the back yard putting together an area to put chip bark in for the dogs...( the great multitudes that we have between us). Love the colour of your driveway, mine is nearly the same colour and who knows one day we might even be able to use the entire drive... Do love your coffee canisters they are gorgeous and so is Patrick....you know you now have Tony hooked on them, once our dear kitties depart this earth he wants one. Re: HENLEY Voyager 383- deck pics 9/11 984Jan 05, 2011 3:23 pm Twiggy Damm Twiggy...used my puter...grrrr Di I just knew it was you straight away Di! Different tone to Twiggy's posts! It's also been a zillion years since I've been on H1 so I know the feeling. It MUST have been ages since I've been on here because Erin is a moderator! How did this not get announced in real life??! Well now that Xmas is out of the way, and I'm on hols, I've been slipping on the ladybeetle gumboots as often as I can and we actually HAVE the start of a garden now Here's a few pics of what's happened at our place in the past month or so... We got a side fence! Not much we could do about the neighbour's retaining wall and not sure how to disguise it as the concretors poured their footings about 30cm over into our property- can't plant much in concrete! Suggestions for sprucing this up are very welcome. The fencer did an absolutely FABULOUS job of the fence though. Can't recommend him highly enough. He doesn't advertise, but goes on recommendations. Happy to pass on his details if anyone wants quality, not just the cheapest of three quotes. Our other side is testament to what happens with cheap and nasty fencing!! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Got some rocks from my uncles place and built this wall. Much cheaper and easier than extending the sleeper wall the whole way down. Waiting for the saggy fence to be fixed (STILL ) then I can plant it out with pigface and gazanias. Just needs mulch and an edging of river pebbles now. Now I need a bobcat. I know there are a few bobcatters in Doreen, if you can recommend one to me I'd be grateful! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Inside the house, not much is new.... Except I bought these which look gorgeous next to the TV cabinet and have little tea lights in them. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And that's about it! I'm off to check out what I've missed on everyone else's houses xo Re: Henley Voyager 383- update and pics 5/1 985Jan 05, 2011 4:53 pm Well done - it's all coming together soooo nicely! I think your hubby did an excellent job on the front deck - my hubby is an IT nerd, and asked "why we needed to go to the airport?" last time I sanded our back deck (I asked him to pass me the plane). I wish mine was just a teeny bit handy like yours! Hope Patrick is fairing better with the little ones these days! Lis ;o) That's funny Handy is good, yes, but sometimes being so handy results in a 'I am a supreme being that is capable of everything' mentality. Seriously But, I feed it and lavish on the praise because thatsa how to get more things done around here Paddy is going really well these days and growing 300g every week He is at 4.6kg at 6 months old. It's kind of like having seedlings... Every day there's a wee bit of a difference. Twiggy I like a good Pansy Me too! Re: Henley Voyager 383- update and pics 5/1 994Jan 06, 2011 12:36 pm Felistopher I'll send you a PM regarding your fencers details as I'll be building the Henley Monterey in the Ridge estate in Doreen and your fence looks impressive. Been following your thread and Erin's as you're both in the same area and with the same builder but only got up to page 10 on both. I love the community feeling of forums such as this when information is so freely shared. Re: Henley Voyager 383- update and pics 5/1 996Jan 06, 2011 2:47 pm The land is due to be titled in February, I think it's still fenced off, my wife drove there today and the kerb and crossovers have been laid but otherwise there's nothing there. It's the stage 6 release of the Ridge and our street runs through to Painted Hills road. We were originally looking at a design with another builder but had a late change of heart after Xmas when Henley cut their prices and we revisited their display. We opted for the Monterey Q2 as that gave us the space we wanted as well as a bigger backyard. Re: Henley Voyager 383- update and pics 5/1 998Jan 07, 2011 12:44 pm Bam Its looking fabulous! Got your PM and replied Dan There's a Monterey next door to us too, and it was always a house we loved; great choice My brother is also in the Ridge and built with henley. Have found this forum to be absolutely invaluable in terms of finding answers to questions, inspiration for decorating and the garden etc. Glad you're on board and enjoy the ride 2pais Your garden is coming up beautifully :) Re: Henley Voyager 383- update and pics 5/1 999Jan 08, 2011 8:39 am Hi Lovely - looking gorgeous. Hope the wall gets sorted ASAP - let us know as soon as it is... I finally found out our s/s (who I've sent numerous emails and left numerous messages for!) is on annual leave, but I've asked for someone else to handle the payment for the new fence. So far I'm waiting for it to be approved by management... again I'll let you know! Today I did another section of the garden.... Visited plantmark in Thomastown and bought about 15 plants for 100 bucks Not bad! Need to go back and buy some more to finish under the windows, but this is what it looks like now: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It was a mother of a job getting those rocks in place without a bobcat. We ended up hooking a chain around then and dragging them Egyptian-style along pieces of wood, up the driveway and levering them into place. Glad I only ordered 3 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The plants on the ends are agave, and the ones in the middle are anthropodium parnell, which should grow to look like this (you can chop the flowers off and keep them as just foliage, which looks nice too) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So that's it for today... I need to go back and get more anthropodium and some cordylines. I've also ordered some plants on the internet and they should arrive tomorrow.
