white Birch windows and Cream fence = bad idea?

Hi all

I've got samples for white birch and primrose, however am led to believe that they look different once installed and viewed on a complete house (???). Has anyone used either of these colours and if so would you be able to show me some pics?

Thanks in advance

PS. would you ever get white/ white birch windows if you've already got a cream fence?

They look pretty well like the samples. Primrose was EXTREMELY popular about 3-7 years ago, making up 2/3 or all new homes, it is not so popular now, White Birch which is a paler cream is maybe 20% of the market today, and less likely to date.

I was one of the people that had Primrose a few years ago. I have a silly question though - how does a colour become dated??

Here is a few pics of White Birch. Like most things, prevailing light conditions affect the colour of it.

What is the most popular colour these days ?

Beige is number 1, as it was 12 years ago... just after Heritage colours were also popular...

Me too...

It's fashion and fads... Silver came in about 5 years ago, took a peek and is moving out again...

Black and White are popular and always remain in the top 10...

You can get windows painted - it's fairly costly but cheaper than changing them.

Hi there,

I am building a house with brown bricks and white birch windows. Not unlike the one pictured. I am having major doubts about the colour of the windows because I just went on site and they look far more yellow than I thought they would. I don't know what to do with the interior colour scheme to minimise the yellow appearance. The house is up so it is too late to change the windows. Can anyone me out of my misery please?

Do you always match your handbag with your shoes? Sometimes you dont get a choice of the colour
of the fence, I dont think it really matters, and I dont think anyone would notice. My dad has one side green and one side cream. I personally would go a neutral/darker colour, I am picking slate grey for mine, as I have no

I originally chose white birch for my windows as I have had primrose windows in my last house. Primrose is a bit too yellow for my likings nowadays. I changed my windows to white as I thought that it went better with my colours scheme outside. I still like white birch, just preferred white as I want the windows out front to be a bit of a feature.

Not once did I consider the colour of the fences. :shock:

Glad you bought that up. I think that the white will go with our beige fences.

White windows would/could go with cream fences but I do not think that white birch would go with
with cream fences.

Looking at your facade - are you having all bricks or any/all render? What colour is your garage door and your roof?

I think your windows are going to be a major feature of your home followed by the lovely double front doors.

I would concentrate on the overall appearance of the facade and not worry about the fence colour too much ::smile::

Only my thoughts though

My partner agreed with me in the end, that primrose was a bit too yellow so we've ordered white birch. YAYYYYY ::lol::

The house will be all face bricks (Boral Jarrah) - no rendering.
Roof tiles will be terracotta Ebony (almost black)
