Re: Built in Southern River, WA - Moved in pics 7/12 168Dec 08, 2009 6:33 pm miss_petepie wow that splashback looks amazing!! where did you get your couches from? they look sooo comfy! The couches are from At Home Furniture. They are australian made in eco-friendly fabric (so they weren't exactly wallet-friendly), but I really got them because they were so comfy (and fitted into my colour scheme). I also got the dining table from At Home, if I had the money I'd probably deck out the whole house from there, I just love their stuff. Re: Built in Southern River, WA - Moved in pics 7/12 169Dec 08, 2009 6:40 pm tinfish looking good.! love the splash back..saw something similar in a display home but brownish/silverish tones....and wanted to do that for my splashback....where did you get yours from? and was it supply and installed or you supplied the tiles? Hi Tinfish, we bought the tiles way back in March cos the guy at the tile shop said they probably wouldn't be available in 6 months time (he * - they are!). Also the builder was going to charge us a ridiculous amount to install them. So we just got a tiler in after handover to put them up for us. They cost us $330 to buy and $250 to install - so I think it was a rather cheap splashback! We got them from Ceramic Tile Supplies in Myaree and they have heaps of different colours including some more nuetural shades. Love the size of the yard! And your grass is stunning! What kind of grass is it do you know? I had some lawn laid a few months back and it's meant to be hard wearing and shade tolerant. Well what a load of bull! Half of it is dead, it isn't thick and lush, and the parts that aren't dead grow within a week and makes it look very weedy! Mow those bits off, and I'm left with brown grass again! Very peeved with it you could say Re: Built in Southern River, WA - Lawn pics 16/12 175Jan 22, 2010 3:04 pm Hey Shell, thought it was time to join, garden pics look great Building the Claremont with SPH viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28206 Earthworks 16/02 Slab 23/02 Drainer 26/02 Bricks 03/03 Brickies started 30/03 Brickie meeting 31/03 Tile meeting booked for 21/06 Paving started 29/07 1st PCI 29/07 2nd PCI 13/08 Handover 09/09 Re: Built in Southern River, WA - Lawn pics 16/12 176Jan 22, 2010 5:54 pm Bec2010 Hey Shell, thought it was time to join, garden pics look great Hey Bec, was wondering when I would see you on here Have you started your own thread yet? Very peeved with it you could say Sorry Katie I missed your reply It's Sir Walter Buffalo grass. We thought it was the good stuff until I checked the landscaping forum and read up about lawn. I don't know why I thought I could do something important like getting 280m2 of lawn laid and NOT check the forums first We didn't do anything to prep the ground first, just assumed that because landscapers were doing it, it would get done properly. Sigh. Having said that its going off right now, growing about a foot a week, really thick and green. But it needs lots of water, we had to do heaps of hand watering the first few weeks cos sections were starting to die off. What a shame about your grass, I would be very peeved too. Have you asked on the landscapig forum for some advice? There is a really good thread about lawns that I wish I had of seen two months ago! Hi Desmondp the developers paid for it, it was part of landscaping package that came with the block so I don't know the price sorry. Had we known that at the time we would have gone for Zoysia too. We are still watering every second day until our watering exemptions run out, so I'd imagine it will lose a bit of its green after that This certainly doesn't look good.
