Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 08, 2009 9:58 pm Hi, we just had our pre-handover inspection by Kevin and one of the issues he bought up was a lack of brick blending on our house. No-one had ever noticed it before (including us) but now he has pointed it out it is quite obvious. The bottom storey of our house has more brown/mauve bricks and the top storey is more grey/mauve. It looks like the brickies have blended the individual pallets but not between pallets. Kevin mentioned a company that stains some bricks to help them blend better-will ring them tomorrow. Not sure what we should do now-will speak to SS but i'm not sure that they are going to do much now the house is almost finished. Can anyone help? Re: Is there anything we can do about lack of brick blending? 2Sep 08, 2009 11:44 pm Render. There is someone on the forums here that had their whole house rendered, but I think they had more problems than just blending. Re: Is there anything we can do about lack of brick blending? 3Sep 09, 2009 8:38 am There's also brick tinting. The advanatage of brick tinting is that it never needs to be redone, so you keep the low maintenance aspect of face bricks.
