I read you had your render paint re-done and then looked at the pic and thought that still looks pink, but then I scrolled down and realised there was a before and after shot. SOOOOOOoooo much better now. I can see what you would have meant about the garage and render not going together before. You must feel really proud of the finished result now. Re: Building Franklin - With Rossdale 150Apr 30, 2010 9:13 am Thanks Everybody!! Yes we got the keys! Spent 3 hours cleaning. Not sure if the goodies are really worth mentioning. A really nice large picnic pack including backpack and ofcourse the champagne. Havn't opened the champy yet...too busy cleaning. will do that after we've moved our furnitures. blinds going in today and also our king size bed gets delivered as well! Unfortunately no mattress yet. Still being made in Queensland. The bamboo floors goes in on the 10th after which I will definitely take a few more snaps. Will look more like a home then. still looking a little warehousey at the moment with the concrete floor. On the not so good side, they didn't fit the outside pump for the spa yet so can't use it as yet. ss said hopefully today. Sooooo good to have a home!! Yes Tamdaz...really happy with the render now. It was what we pictured. When the black solid steel security doors goes in will look even better I reckon. matching the windows. End Feb 09-Deposit and paperwork Nov 09-Slab! I hope you love your place as much as we are loving ours. Can't wait to see some photos when your floor goes in. Enjoy! Thanks Woodvillesouth, Nice to see you coming back now and again to check on others. Yes, the flooring goes in next week. We're going with the carbonised horizontal bamboo instead of natural. It's actually because bamboo floor store ran out of the naturals. A good thing really because now that the front doors and french doors are in (they are stained) I think it will match the doors nicely. I think the natural would have been much too yellow making a stark contrast with the doors. Anyway, things are falling into place. Can't wait for the floors. I'm actually staying at the home now by myself. Wife and daughter still staying with my inlaws. They are waiting for the bamboo flooring while I keep watch over the house. We moved last saturday, hired a budget rental truck and moved from 8am until 8pm. Sunday morning I was aching all over, but everything's been moved into the house. double garage is jam packed, but once the bamboo floor goes in, I can transfer most of that into the house. First things first though, the home theatre is all decked out and my office is set up. Guest bedroom is done which is where I'm sleeping at the moment. still waiting for the king size matress for the master bedroom. End Feb 09-Deposit and paperwork Nov 09-Slab! My build forum: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=23112 Re: Building Franklin - With Rossdale 156May 04, 2010 8:14 pm GRATS!!! We're probably going to do it the other way around - I can't wait to have sleepovers in our new house, but hubby doesn't want to go without his bed I figure I've been getting up in the night for the past two years and sleeping in uncomfortable beds in our daughters room (first night feeds, later teething and the occasional nightmare), so I no longer miss the big, comfy king size bed!! Roughing it on a mattress on the floor is all good to me Wish they'd get a move on and give me my house!!! Looking forward to the post-handover pics!! Re: Building Franklin - With Rossdale 157May 05, 2010 9:30 am Somewoman, it's almost like our partners are exactly the same! I can't understand why you wouldn't move in because all the bedrooms are already carpeted, we have a queen size bed and all the beddings...everything works, so why wait? Anyway am enjoying my mock bachelorhood but miss my girls at night. I do see them for dinner for a couple of hours, then she goes back to her mom's to put our daughter to bed. I've already set up our daughter's room (minus the cot which is at the inlaw's) so I don't get it. I reckon even when the floor is being put in I'll still sleep at our place coz I can still access our master bedroom, have everything I need, but the kitchen really, not sure how pungent the floor glue and primer are though. My Mrs is not keen to move in straight away with no floor coverings but my opinion is ill live with cardboard boxes on the floor whilst the main living areas are tiled rather than pay someone elses mortgage through their rent ..
