Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building Franklin - With Rossdale 121Apr 19, 2010 1:30 pm saoye Here's hoping for a quick handover coz by the time I do get hand over there'll be a mountain of garbage at the front and around my house by the criminals who are dumping their hard rubbish on my property! up to the builder to remove the rubbish .. its their site until handover Rossdale Homes "Houghton" Sovereign specification Re: Building Franklin - With Rossdale 122Apr 19, 2010 1:48 pm Yes, I understand that, and rossdale has advised they will clean it up, but it's still unbelievable what some people think they have a right to do. It is still tresspass, it is still criminal to dump on someone else's property. I just hope it all stops after hand over... End Feb 09-Deposit and paperwork Nov 09-Slab! Im acutally thinking of installing a wireless camera at our block. the neighbour is happy to host the link via his internet connection thus would allow me to look at the camera across the web as well as record etc. A friend of mine that build at Virginia was telling me him and his wife were at their place before completion doing some things and a guy pulled up and unloaded his trailer in front of him .. lol .. some people have no idea what so ever .. my mate called the police and made a formal complaint. the rubbish was gone the next day and i think the guy was forced by the building company to pay for the cost of the bin We have had everything in ours from garden clippings to house furniture a kids slide (didnt last long before someone collected it) .. anything i think could be useful i put beside the bin and people pick it up and take it .. its like having a swap meet at the front of your new house Edit * whoops .. I would have no hesitation to stooping to their level. ive already had to spend a couple of hours picking up builders rubbish from beside our bin because they couldnt fit it in due to these leaching mungerals being too cheap to go to the tip. I did rock up last night and early this morning though. Last night the installer had put in the cooker and was installing the rangehood at about 5:30pm. Looked good, but the rangehood flute was slightly short of the tiled splashback, about half a tile height. I told him just to install it, and I'll think of a feature tile or something later on to cover the area. Otherwise he'd have to order the flute and that'll delay another week or so. Anyway, I supplied the appliances so can't blame rossdale for that. This morning they were installing the dishwasher and the rainwater tank. End Feb 09-Deposit and paperwork Nov 09-Slab! Best news is that Solver Paint agreed that the paint colour was not Kanga and they will give the painter another container of kanga paint for him to repaint this week. We've got handover scheduled on Thursday this week!! Can't wait!!! Lots to do from here onwards ofcourse. Still waiting for the flooring to be done hopefully the following week. Blinds comes in on Friday. We're planning to sleep there asap since there's lots to be done. our mattress should be going in soon, but no bed. bed's on backorder until july unfortunately. so sleeping on the bedroom floor on the mattress til then. First photo shows the previous wrong kanga colour and second photo is the after correction. It's so much better now. Before we had a totally different colour to our garage...unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the pinky kanga with the garage installed, but physically it was a little of an eye sore. You might not see it as it seems to be ok in the photo but you just feel a lot more relaxed with the colour matching. Get a feel for it in person instead of deciding from the floor plan. There… 1 21408 Thanks for your reply. I will just wait and see I guess.
