Hi, Sorry to start a new thread on this as there's heaps on this forum but they mainly seem to concentrate on width and depth of the cavity but not much on the height...
What's the standard / ideal height for the fridge cavity?
Our builder and kitchen installer seem to have stuffed up and forgotten that we were having timber floors (40mm higher than slab level) so when they installed the kitchen they measured the hights from the bottom and now the overhead kitchen cabinets don't line up with the cupboard above the fridge, they should line up at the top but we just noticed that the fridge one is about 40mm higher (they obviously forgot about the timber floors).
Currently our fridge cavity height is 1850mm (or at least that's what the plan says, we'll have to measure it tomorrow) so if we want to fix this symetry problem and make the cupboards line up at the top we'll need to move down the cubboard above the fridge approx 40mm, which will make the fridge cavity 1810mm high, is this too small?
Haven't spoken to the SS yet as obviously the bulkhead will need to be fixed too, so not sure how possible this change/correction is. Hubby seems to think that we'll get used to this not alignment of the cupboards and that we should maybe not worry about it...
Pics on the blog, what does everyone think?
