Sincerely, Anonymous Re: Anyone building in Arnolds Creek Estate Melton West 106Jul 22, 2010 8:26 pm Hi Ho Arnolds Creek-ians I was pleasant surprised when told about this forum.. We were one of the 1st to buy a nice size block over-looking the Stream ( Sorry... meant Creek ) and in the distance, seeing the mountains.. We knew this was the place to build our dream home... I was just wondering if there is a group, that meet up once in a blue moon, to discuss the " going on's " in the estate..?? For example, we have alot of young families, do we have a Neighborhood Watch..?? And one of my BIGGEST gripes, those DAMN HOONS and what we can do to get them out of our area..? I can whip a mean Chocolate cake ### ALAN ### Re: Anyone building in Arnolds Creek Estate Melton West 107Jul 23, 2010 10:58 am Hi Al, We like you also have a block overlooking the creek and have been excited awaiting all the work they are doing to it to finish. Like you also extremely annoyed with the hoons, especially coming out of my house to find two ducks dead on the road!! I don't believe there is a neighbourhood watch or any sort of community gathering at this stage, however the area is growing quickly and like you say many are young familes. I hadn't looked at trying to do anything about the hoons, I assumed that the instances of them will decrease as more houses become occupied in the area. The idea of a neighbourhood group sounds good, I suppose it just needs a few people to get it of the ground and take some initiative. Something I would possible be interested in helping with. A mean chocolate cake, and a qualified chef here with lots of food practice. Regards, Craig. Re: Anyone building in Arnolds Creek Estate Melton West 108Jul 23, 2010 2:14 pm And I can bring the bad Irish temper to the party, so we'll be unstopable We are in a court, and can't see any signs of hooning so far, but with the open paddocks, the trail bikes are rampant. We will be residents in a few weeks from now. Dear J.K. Rowling, Your books are entirely unrealistic. I mean, a ginger kid with two friends? Sincerely, Anonymous Re: Anyone building in Arnolds Creek Estate Melton West 109Jul 23, 2010 3:37 pm Hi Craig & The Little Misses I unfortunately saw afew TRADIES hit acouple of the ducks on occassions and after giving them abit of a blasting, they seemed un-sympathetic , but then again, haven't seen them drive past in awhile either We live on the Arnolds Creek Bvd side of the Creek ( commonly known as Calder Park Raceway ) I guess once the houses are built, we can discuss with the council the need for speed humps.. Unfortunately I think the HOONS are here to stay, as afew of them live in the area. I guess a polite knock on their door and afew choice words might get them to think twice, if not, I have the DOB IN A HOON website in my favourites ( Just got to get their damn number-plates ) Well hopefully we can get the local group together in the not too distant future. Good to hear that there are friendly people in the area ( never seen/heard the neighbor to my left, but the family to the right seem really nice ) AL. Re: Anyone building in Arnolds Creek Estate Melton West 110Jul 23, 2010 4:35 pm I've noticed in the estate on the other side of Bulmans, that down the main road there, think it may be Centenary Avenue, they have installed the mini roundabouts and half speed humps, so hopefully they are doing a few others areas too. Ive noticed when we drive around the estate, the back park down near Eagle Park, I think it might be called, there are black tire marks all over the newly laid road They wont do it around where we are building, as the roads are basically muddy clay slip and slides at the moment. It's filthy. Most of the hoons are probably coming through from the older part across Bulmans Road. It should settle down once more start building, hopefully. Dear J.K. Just a question, does anyone know exactly what is going in there..? is it shop's aswell, or just a community Centre with afew choice boutique shops and a meeting area..?? AL Gooooo Hawks Re: Anyone building in Arnolds Creek Estate Melton West 112Jul 24, 2010 6:38 am Arnolds Creek AL Gooooo Hawks Let me start by saying followed by another Hawks? The community health centre is basically maternal and child health suites there, a kindergarten, probably an immunisation program and consulting rooms. The shops are going to be built on the small block before the community centre, probably just a milkbar, fish and chip shop, maybe a small hairdressers, newsagent / postal outlet. On the block further down, there is a proposed primary school, but haven't heard if it's going ahead or not. Come on, hawks what are you thinking Dear J.K. Rowling, Your books are entirely unrealistic. I mean, a ginger kid with two friends?
