This is just the sort of floor I had originally imagined - smooth concrete look... Maybe I do go the grey tiles like you suggest.... When we were getting tenders one builder tried to convince us to go this way 'so they wouldn't have to worry about damaging it during the rest of the build' Nice selfish reason there mr builder...
