Re: Split-level - Camden. We're in! 228Mar 14, 2010 1:04 am Hello. . . we moved in. . . hurrah! Still have some issues to sort out (mainly with the contractors that we engaged), but, we're getting there. Thanks Rhi. . . I'll have some piccies up at some point. . . it's funny, when we were building it seemed easy to put up the piccies, but now we've got all our stuff in the house, it seems a whole lot more personal. I just haven't wanted to take pics until we're finished. . . and then I'm a bit self-conscious about posting all of our 'stuff' on the forum . . . I never thought I would be! Hi Greg. . . sorry about the delay. .. the colour is Taubman's Rock Quarry. . . it's the colour that I originally wanted on the exterior of the house, but Phil won that one . . . boohoo! We would have loved something like Loretta's theatre room colour, but we'd already chosen our carpets (brown) so I though that the Rock Quarry would suit better. Thank you Brigitte! you must be close to moving in now. . . I bet you're excited.t And thank you too Mrs Rose. . . we moved in a week after we were supposed to, but we were quite happy with that. . . just glad to be out of the rental. . . YEAH! And thank you too vundy! And Loretta! Not that I haven't spoken to you recently, but thank you too! Themax. . . I haven't had time to get on homeone in 2 weeks! I don't know how you do it? You're amazing! Re: Split-level - Camden. We're in! 229Mar 14, 2010 11:54 am Ooo ooo ooo fantastic! We shall be patient, sounds like everything is going well Re: Split-level - Camden. We're in! 230Mar 18, 2010 9:01 pm Ohhh, I love your house, jodge!! The finishes are amazing, the colours are stunning (and this is from someone who isn't really a big fan of greys and other cool colours) ... Congratulations!!! My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: Building Split-Level near Camden - Tree is lopped! 233Jun 05, 2012 9:22 pm jodge phil74 Hello, no, not interested thanks! Phil. . . you just sat there for 20 minutes staring at the floorplan, you are ******!!! Now, get back in the kitchen and make me a cuppa tea. I couldn't get past the first page without laughing at this!!! Just the sort of thing my DH would do. Soooooooooo excited to have finally found your thread Jo. But where are the floor plans? Being the design guru that you are I definitely was keen to check out your plans. Back to reading through your thread... I have just about finished reading your thread. I love it!!! So funny to read back to your build stories after knowing you now... I can see slide out garbage bins have been a high priority for a long time. And I paid extra attention to your WIR pics which is of current interest as you know. That drawer and shelf set looks like the standard inserts that Jack has. Did you say you did the WIR yourself? Great to see all your photos of the build and I seriously do love the grey tones. And the balanced windows at the front facade - quite grand indeed. Did you end up painting any of the feature walls? And did you and Loretta have the same builder (Jeff)? So many questions... We're in! 236Jun 05, 2012 10:22 pm Didn't take long, did it? You have no idea how much I love my stinky bins. Really! Yep, I designed and made the WIR. .. not the best quality Had all the bits of melamine cut to my specs, and those alone cost over $1000 (think I was ripped off), then $150 each for the drawers (which are too shallow and small), then another few bucks for the rails, brackets and screws. . . and that was with the builder putting in the top shelf before I started. Painted a few feature walls. . . must post some newer pics! Re: Split-level. We're in! 237Jun 05, 2012 10:23 pm Hi Jodge, just finished reading through your thread. I LOVE your house, and the symmetry of the front with all those windows- it's magic!! You might just need your rollerskates on when you vaccum . I'm not a fan of greys at all, but I think your choices are really nice and sophisticated, you have managed to add some warmth & texture where needed yet keep to the theme. Well done I'd love to see your garden plan!!!? Re: Split-level. We're in! 238Jun 05, 2012 10:31 pm Hi Treesa! Thank you. .. isn't it funny how it's possible to read my whole thread in about 10 minutes! Phil chose the grey. . . he now hates it, though I don't think it's so bad. It's different! The grass does soften it up a bit now too. Garden. . . plan? What plan? Do people have plans? HAHAHA! We just buy random plants and throw them in the ground! We have a solution for the vacuuming. . . we just don't bother! Re: Split-level. We're in! 239Jun 05, 2012 10:43 pm Yes, once you get some greenery around, I think the grey will look really good! Oh dear... no garden plan?? I think that house deserves one, and you have done so much planning on the inside!! You need to brainstorm with some green-fingered friends, it will be totally worth it, such a beautiful house SHOULD have a lovely setting!!! It's the icing on the cake Re: Split-level. We're in! 240Jun 05, 2012 10:51 pm Hmmm. . . Treesa. . . I see a few problems here. Firstly, I don't have any friends. . . secondly, we finished building over 2 years ago and are well on the way to finishing our landscaping! Oh good lawdy. . . I really do need to take some piccies. Actually though, we do still need to plant the gardens out the front, so maybe I'll get you guys to help. Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
