It's been a while since I have posted on here but there has only been paperwork and more paperwork which isn't very interesting. However we finally got to do our colour selection last week! I was so nervous before we went in as we don't really have an 'eye for colour' but luckily the lady we spoke with was excellent. She gave us heaps if options and let us choose what suited us. She didn't push at all which was great. I came out of it feeling really good and we were only in there for about 3 hours. We ended up spending about $4400 which included $2500 for a speaker system through the ground level of the house. We really tried to restrict ourselves as we didn't want to push our budget. We upgraded a couple of little things like taps in the bathrooms, an extra zone for ducted aircon, front door handle, some wiring for home theatre, extra sensor for alarm system. We have received our Complying Development approval and were told to clear the land so they can order a pegout. So yesterday was spent with a few friends trying to hack through our jungle of a block (It actually wasn't as bad as we expected ) Now just waiting to hear back about when pegpout will be completed and then hopefully all systems are go! Does anybody know roughly how long it will take to get the pegout completed from when they order it and then how long after pegout complete to site cut? Just want to get a handle on how much will be done before Christmas! I think that maybe its time to start my own thread....maybe after the site is cut? Building Masterton Jamison with Executive Facade Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 333Oct 19, 2009 2:06 pm Batman3, If they have delayed you, then you shouldn't be paying any price rises. If your council or your organising (or lack of) has slowed things down then i can understand but if it just comes down to them being unorganised, there's no way i'd be paying any extra! It turns out we have an appointment for our colours next monday. Have to go to Di Lorenzo's tiles in Bella Vista this week to choose wet area stuff - I can't believe that masterton didn't tell us to do this already! We've been twiddling our thumbs for 4 weeks and now we have to rush it and do it ourselves with no consultant because the idiots at masterton couldn't simply tell us that it needs to be done! Anyway, Denise at masterton was really good with slotting us in asap to do our studio M as i explained that our plans are just about to come out of council. Can anyone who's further ahead of me give me any idea as to when i will get a slab after doing colours on monday? I know i have to wait for final contract and all but anyone got a time frame for me?? Bexi we are on the old system (contract after council) but this is our timeframe: Colours (in early June) Contract 17 July Pegout 31 July CC 4 August Excavation Begins 14 August Excavation Ends (Platform prepared) 26 August (we had a LOT of rock so excavation with a 800mm cut took a while) Slab 5 September I don't know if that helps at all!! We on the other hand always responed within a 24-48hr time period for everything! We tried to fight it - even our new homes consultant thought it was ridiculous. We luckily have everything documented and are now trying to decide if it is worth getting our solicitor involved or just pay it so we can get our house... sigh! Our CSC said we just need to bring it to the presentation appointment, it will then be used as part of the Basix assessment prior to council submission etc. Building: Masterton Villina Savoy in the Sutherland Shire http://nathanandvivienbuildahome.blogspot.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 339Oct 19, 2009 7:50 pm batman3 Bexi Batman3, If they have delayed you, then you shouldn't be paying any price rises.
