Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 23, 2009 1:31 am Hi Guys, I am looking at Carlisle homes: The Bordeaux 40 and The Prominence 38 Any idea whats the difference between T Range and Affinity? How are Carlisle with: Site Costs? Pricing Colorbond Steel roof? Brick work instead of Cladding work on upper floor? Would appreciate any feedback on the builder plz. TA Re: Carlisle Homes : The Bordeaux 40 or The Prominence 38 ? 2Aug 23, 2009 9:36 am We went through exactly the same scenario as yourselves about a fortnight ago.........from a price perspective, I think in the end the difference was around $20K. As for colourbond roof, price seems to be around $7K-$9K extra. Wow factor due to upgrades, the Bordeaux easily comes out on top............ However, after taking all this into account, we ended up signing for the Atlantique and sized it up a little to get the extra Sqs matching the Bordeaux for around $11K more but still saving $40K compared to the Bordeaux or $2oK less compared to the Prominence.......... By the time you add facade, extra garage, site costs etc etc, for us the price quickly starting blowing out over and above our budget. Hope it helps somewhat...... Difference between T Range and Affinity Collection: T Range - different kitchen appliances - different inclusions - facade w/ render (as displayed) included in base price - no brickwork above windows/doors - simpler facades - different fixtures, for eg. stacker doors to alfresco standard, instead of sliding doors - etc... Affinity Collection - generally more expensive facades, upgrades and designs - different appliances - brickwork above windows/doors - most floorplans have double door entries - extravagant facades - different fixtures - better kitchen/bathroom designs - etc.. The Bordeaux and Prominence are quite similar to be honest. By the time you upgrade a standard Prominence into a Affinity equivalent, your better off getting a Bordeaux, Thornleigh or Vogue. Go for one of the Affinity double storeys, they have better inclusions and look more complex. Built the Atlantique 37 Mk2 with Carlisle Homes - WE'RE IN!! The affinity range comes with spas, upgraded front door, better kitchen appliances and a larger standard range of vanities etc. The T-Range at least in the single story do include brickwork above windows and doors. Also the facades - while less extravagent than the Affinity collection are more inclusive from what I can tell. Our facade for example was not a 'face brick' facade as standard and included a lot of render for the $1,200 we paid for it. IMO this prominence facade is very nice, makes me want to build a double story, Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 36896 Hello, Whats peoples current experience building with Carlisle, specifically in SouthEast Melbourne?
