It has made all of the last few months of waiting worthwhile! Not long for you to go either; have they given you a PCI date as yet? Are alfresco tiles are a darker version of our inside tiles. The inside is more of a mocha, while the outside still has brown in it, but more of a purplish tinge to go with the driveways and feature brick. Hope you have a great week, and now back to the packing before the big move! Cheers, CMET Re: Left of Square:CMET’s Journey, with EBH! Now have a ball living in it Thanks Southies, After seeing how great your house looked when it was finished, and how great it looks now down the track, we are glad that we where able to get there with EB and have been happy with the final result. The Linen space was a key for us; all of the display homes that we where looking at never had enough space, so we thought lets make one of our own! It has worked in really well and now we are working hard at filling it. From what I can remember, the vanity cupboard in our ensuite was standard, as we did not make any modifications to it. I am sure that we could all right a long list of strange things that we where told by builders that now do not make any sense at all! Our lights and blinds will be going in this week, and our landscapers should also make a start providing the weather holds out for them. Once all of that has been done, then we can look back and hope that all of the colours will have come together as we have imagined. Have a great week. Thanks Mel, I know what you mean about crappy internet It has taken this long for us to finally get it sorted out! After two attempts with ADSL from two different providers, we have had to settle for Wireless! Not very happy at all, but not alot that we can do right now. I also now what you mean about early morning wake up's on weekends, but we have also heard people working on Sundays and public holidays since we have moved in! Congratulations on getting your occupational certificate! Did you have any hassles with the private certifier? Our landscaping is about half way through at the moment. They are working on the paving now, before they start the soft landscaping next week. I will post some post move in and landscaping progress picks shortly. Cheers, CMET Re: Left of Square:CMET’s Journey, with EBH! It's Ours!!! 26 131May 06, 2010 1:11 pm Your house is simply stunning! You must be thrilled!!! We are about to start building with EB in the coming months and have been doing lots of homework re tiles, paint colours etc prior to our colour consultation. Do you mind if I ask what colour floor tile you've chosen and also what your paint colours are? We love very similar colours. I think the tile we liked best is called Ash from memory and as for our main white paint colour, we're just not 100% on yet. Thanks Karry327, It is great to be finally in our new home, but it feels like the fun is just beginning with all that needs to be completed post handover! In relation to your query, our wall colours are as follows: Main colour: Nomadic Ivory Feature Wall: Platypus Architraves and Doors: Ashwood With reference to our tiles, I cannot put my hands on the tile name right now, but they where in the builders range in a 450 x 450 size, and the main floor tile was a mocha colour, but I think was called "olive", and the alfresco and porch tile was darker in a grip style with a hint of purple in it. I will need to find more details over the weekend for you. How have you found the process so far? I can be quite overwhelming at the start. Where are you building and what design have you decided on? Good luck, and please let me know if you have any more queries. Cheers, CMET Re: Left of Square:CMET’s Journey, with EBH! Cheers, CMET Hi CMET yes get used to the construction noise at crappy times. yesterday it was 5am when the neighbours got their frame delivered. huge truck going up the street with flashing lights and everything...not impressed. if you havent got your wireless yet, make sure you investigate the reception for the company you are thinking of. telstra seems to have the strongest signal which is what most of my neighbours and now I have. rather expensive though. re: private certifier - i didnt have any hassles. EB gave us a letter from the certifier when we got the keys which listed the outstanding items still needing to be done. basically when that was all over we called him back to inspect. as long as everything was done to plan there shouldnt be any problems, ill have to drive/walk past and get an update. havent been in your street for a while. Melanie Re: Left of Square:CMET’s Journey, with EBH! It's Ours!!! 26 134May 07, 2010 2:48 pm Hi CMET, Thanks so much for sharing your colours!! I do recall seeing some 450x450 in Mocha and Olive. We quite liked the Ash but if yours is Olive, I'm going to re-visit that! Would you mind sharing the name of your carpet colour too? I wonder if it's the same as the one we had in mind? Also, with your paint colours, are they full strength? Sorry for so many questions! We're building a Saville 27 (with many modifications, so is now more like a 32!) in Kellyville Ridge. We're just at the Tender process, so we've sat down with our Consultant & gone over the Tender and now we're waiting for him to get back to us with a re-typed Tender due to a few changes that need to be made. Yes, it has been quite overwhelming - mainly because we initially put a deposit down with EB in early March but our land doesn't register until around September. Finding that to be a bit of a pain as of course EB need to do their soil tests etc and the bank want to keep re-assessing right up until we're ready for that 1st payment pretty much! Anyway, we're slowly making our way through this minefield I absolutely cannot wait to be in the position you're in!!! Melanie HI Mel, Optus reception wasn't great and Vodafone was even worse, so in the end it was Telstra. Like everybody else in the area, I do not really think we had any other option. Thanks for the info re the private certifier. We have the letter and just need ti sign off from our landscaper once they are finished and we can call him back in to do the inspection. It should hopefully only be another week or so before it is all completed. Look forward to seeing you around the streets! Cheers, CMET Re: Left of Square:CMET’s Journey, with EBH! Hi Karry327, Our carpet colour is Legano in the Savino range from Victoria carpets. Is that the same as what you have chosen? We decided that with young kids, we will stick with the builders range at replace it in a few years if we need to once they grow older. We did decide to upgrade the underlay, and we feel that you can really feel the difference underfoot. I am pretty sure that the colours are full strength, as we did not specify any changes. We also went with the three coat upgrade, again with the wear and tear that it is going to have to take. Good luck with the rest of the tender process, and please let me know if you have any other questions. Cheers, CMET Re: Left of Square:CMET’s Journey, with EBH!
