I di see somewhere you mentioned Blue Steel Flash but I'm still unsure. Thanks! Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32574 Re: Left of Square:CMET’s Journey, with EBH! Shower screens 102Mar 05, 2010 6:11 am Hi shellb78, Thanks for yur comments. As we have PGH bricks, our feature brick is Blue Steel Flash! It was a close race between this and the Blue Rio, but the Blue Steel Flash seemed to go better with the Mild Steel main brick. Cheers, CMET Left of Square:CMET’s Journey, with EBH! Picfest 04/03 & PCI 103Mar 05, 2010 6:24 am Hi Guys, The end is in sight! After a slow finish to last week, progress this week has been great, and we can certainly see the finish line in sight! This week, the painters where back to finish some of the internal painting, the cleaners came through to make it all nice and clean, our carpets where installed yesterday and with today’s good weather, the painters where back to do feature walls and the external paint work!! Thanks Southies, A mixture of excitement and anxiety, hoping that all will go smoothly over the next couple of weeks. We are happy with our choices and the quality of the finish from EB; just a few small things to go and then the paint touch ups can begin in the run up to the finish line! Thanks Mrs Rose, And to think that it almost didn't happen this way, as the Mild Steel was our second choice, when our first choice was rejected by the design review panel! It is great to finally see the months and months of planning finally come together in what is soon to be our brand new home! And good luck with your pending arrival as well! Cheers Thanks hsv216, It was the one thing that we where really looking forward to seeing and it was one of the last things that they actually painted. Talk about the suspense! How is everything going in council? Do you have any time frame as yet as to when they should be coming back to you? Cheers, CMET Re: Left of Square:CMET’s Journey, with EBH! But I am hoping that will hear something back this coming week. Have been on the council site every day in anticipation. The notification period ended on 2nd March. Got my last quote back for the tiling, so that should be the end of the variations hopefully. I just want them to get on with it now. Cheers Re: Left of Square:CMET’s Journey, with EBH! Congratulations, when do you move in?? All the best!! Laney. Thanks Laney, Time frame at this stage, with PCI on this Thursday, is that handover should be two weeks after that. I guess alot will depend on how Thursday goes, but we should have a really good idea by the end of the week. All going well, we should be in by Easter! Good luck on the roller coaster ride that is building a new house! Cheers, CMET Re: Left of Square:CMET’s Journey, with EBH! PCI Done 11/03 118Mar 12, 2010 6:53 am Hi Guys, We had our PCI yesterday and all went pretty smoothly. Took about 2.5 hours all up and the house was a hive of activity with our SS, Us, Howard, a painter, a plasterer, a roofer and a guy to give us a blinds quote! And not to mention plenty of blue, green and red tape! Most of the issues we picked up where pretty minor. About 50% where paint issues, a few windows and doors had dents and needed to be re-aligned and the rest where minor things that still needed to be done or added back in. These should hopefully be rectified in the next two weeks, so handover should happen prior to Easter! We also received our inspection report through from Howard last night and have forwarded them onto our SS for it to be actioned. Now to get moving on the final invoice and get the bank into action! Hope you have a great weekend! Cheers, CMET Re: Left of Square:CMET’s Journey, with EBH! PCI Done 11/03 119Mar 12, 2010 7:59 am Congratulations CMET!!!
