He is also painting the kids bedrooms in different colours which again I wanted done before we moved in so the smell had gone. I will take some more pics at the weekend with painting all done as he said they should be finished the insude by Friday - yey It is nice to see all the colours come together after months of choosing them. I have been doing checklists already for moving as I am bound to forget something!! I have booked 2 weeks off work end of Jan beginning of Feb to get everything done when I move in. Will need a holiday after this is done Karen Building coral Hamilton 252 on sunshine coast Re: Building coral Hamilton 252 - painter started today! 103Dec 23, 2009 7:19 am Hey all, been away for a while but I am back and will put some pics on at the weekend. Just a quick question about internal doors. When I built my last place they sprayed the gloss on the doors and they had a lovely finish, this time they have hand painted the gloss and I am really not happy with the finish. Can anyone else tell me how theirs were finished. Thanks Karen Building coral Hamilton 252 on sunshine coast Re: Building coral Hamilton 252 - painter started today! 104Dec 23, 2009 7:32 am kazmask Hey all, been away for a while but I am back and will put some pics on at the weekend. I'd agree - I'd much prefer them to spray on, but to be honest I didn't know that was possible. Stefan Building the M3tr!con Liberty 42 at Stonecutters Ridge. I guess it must differ depending on your painter, not neccessarily a Coral thing. Our last house the internal doors were painted and they looked quite fine. What kind of door have you gone with ? Can't wait to see some updated photos. Have a chat to your painter and let him know you're not happy with the finish. Re: Building coral Hamilton 252 - question about painting! 106Dec 23, 2009 8:51 am Our door glossing was hand painted and the skirting etc sprayed...go figure? The doors are fab tho'...no issues with the standard of painting. I am more annoyed about the shower...the flexible hose from the tap to the shower head went rusty within a few weeks of moving in...something for us to point our at the 6 month maintenance! Re: Building coral Hamilton 252 - some new pics!! 107Dec 30, 2009 10:28 pm Thanks everyone for your comments. I am actually getting used to the paintwork now, although would have preferred the eggshell finish rather than painted on gloss. So simple but yet improves the whole look of the house. NO EXPECTATIONS, NO DISAPPOINTMENTS! I bet you and the kids are loving your new home, congratulations!!! Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13723 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1693 6 11470 |
