Base price (with no other inclusions OR 'deals') has risen over 50K in the last 2 years for roughly the same sized house...I kid you not! But with the first home buyers grant and other deals (Greenfield Savings), you could save some if it applies. We couldn't, unfortunately, but signed before any major price increase, and payed roughly 250K base price. I have no idea what is going to happen in 5 - 6 years...that's quite a while! Who knows if there will be a first home buyers grant, and who knows what individual companies will market at the time to intice you in! Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! I would like to know if there was a big price hike just before the first home buyers grant came in. As to the future costs in 5 - 6 years time, it can only go up, when I built my first home 20 years ago, a block cost us $55,000 and house for 16sq $73,000.
