Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Offer Land to Builder 3Aug 12, 2009 11:53 am sloping Hi Guys, Would builders eg Simonds etc be intrested if you offered your land and house to them after they finished building the house for you so they can use it as a display? The builder can build their houses at cost. They'd have to buy your house at cost (offsetting the profit), plus the margin that they charged you, plus/minus any market fluctuations since the build finished. They wouldn't get any benefit out of buying a house in suburbia by itself. Ask for the contamination report which I doubt they have. If it's part of a normal subdivision it would have had a contamination report done… 9 5645 Hi Mofflepop, I would recommend finding a building designer to prepare plans, they should design to your specified budget. The benefit is you can tender the project out… 9 20401 |
