Firstly, to anyone who has already built, Have you had any problems with your homes so far as Cascades in mostly all fill? Secondly, anyone used Fairhaven Homes? Its a lovley estate, where abouts have you bought? we are building with Carlisle homes, our site was classified as p class and they fixed our site costs for us, so your home builder maybe able to fix them for you! It wasnt the fill that was the problem, just the depth of the clay and other soils, I dont know how it works really... Having a MD slab has cost us a bit of extra, but we are happy to pay it if it means our investment wont fall apart in a few years. We checked it out today, they have used extra reinforcement steel which is closer together than normal, and it has been engineered. Which stage are you looking at buying in Che?
