You can see pictures at the following location; http://casadelscaramanga.blogspot.com The only complaint if you can call it that is that the "espresso" colour appears to be painted on the bricks I chose. The cleaners that use chemicals to clean the bricks have managed to take some of that colour off here and there. Nothing serious from what I have seen so far. The concern is that the colour will fade away with time. I guess you better choose your bricks wisely. Good luck Franco Re: Anyone building with Eden Brae and using PGH bricks??? 4Aug 11, 2009 1:47 pm Hi there, We are building a Memphis 31 and have chosen the PGH Haberfield bricks. Our house is yet to begin building, so won't have any pictures for a few months. However, the same brick is used on the Saville display home at The Ponds. http://www.edenbraehomes.com.au/a/62.html Best of luck with choosing, it really is a difficult thing to decide on. Re: Anyone building with Eden Brae and using PGH bricks??? 5Aug 11, 2009 8:55 pm Thanks all for your replies. I'm leaning towards mild steel but it'll depend on pricing!! I'm leaning towards mild steel but it'll depend on pricing!! Mild Steel is an *awesome* colour. It is very similar to the Boral Victoria Blue (77 cents/brick). Re: Anyone building with Eden Brae and using PGH bricks??? 8Sep 03, 2009 10:46 pm l just received a quote from eden brae to upgrade the bricks to mild steel and they quoted me $4500. Does this sound about right for a 27sq house? Handover date 3rd August 2010 WOOHOO!!! Re: Anyone building with Eden Brae and using PGH bricks??? 9Sep 04, 2009 7:45 am Hi, It will depend on the type of brick that is included in the package that is part of your tender. The way it was explained to us by the brick yards is that they negotiate a very low price for a particular range, and as soon as you choose to "upgrade", it becomes almost a retail price as they do not get the big volume discounts. We will be using PGH Mild Steel as the main brick and then PGH Blue Steel Flash as the feature brick at the front of the house. Which EB package are you going with? Cheers, CMET Re: Anyone building with Eden Brae and using PGH bricks??? 10Sep 04, 2009 8:09 am Hi Again, Our quote from EB was $4011 for 35 squares. Good Luck!! Re: Anyone building with Eden Brae and using PGH bricks??? 12Sep 10, 2009 11:27 pm $4000 seems cheap compared to the price that we got quoted. We have just signed our contract with EB and we just got quoted $4500 for mild steel for a 27sq. Handover date 3rd August 2010 WOOHOO!!! Re: Anyone building with Eden Brae and using PGH bricks??? 13Sep 18, 2009 6:29 pm I am in the last phase of building a windor 46 with EBH and PGH bricks. The bricks sent were faulty and warped under Sydney rain in March/April. The whole wall was brought down and we had to wait another 6 weeks for a good batch of bricks before construction progressed. For example: standard bricks for areas that will be rendered and then the upgraded bricks for the rest of the house? Re: Anyone building with Eden Brae and using PGH bricks??? 17May 10, 2010 3:44 pm Thats generally what happens EB will no doubt quote for the whole house though - so be specific about it.
