Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Insulation under Polished Timber Floors 3Aug 10, 2009 2:56 pm Dukekamaya There is insulation designed to be fitted between joists for under floor use. From memory they are in 10 metre rolls and obviously about 430mm wide. Does that cost more in labour as they have to manually fit the insualtion to the joists? As our standard flooring comes with insualtion already joined..... what would happen if we got the normal floor still and just get the floorboards over the top of the areas that we want floorboards, then we don't have to spend extra on the other areas which will just have carpet laid over it. Can it be done? Sorry I'm very new to this thing Sorry, don't know costs, but there are a couple of very important principles you need to get right (and now) .... (1) never agree to any "upgrade" unless you first know… 5 6834 Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 15905 2 4672 |
