Re: PD Stanford 24 Marriott Waters 1st Home 3Aug 09, 2009 12:03 pm It's a great floor plan - there's one in our street (and it went up really fast). Good thinking on the extended linen cupboard! Good luck with it all. Re: PD Stanford 24 Marriott Waters 1st Home 4Aug 09, 2009 10:17 pm Hey Emmzy, We are also building the Stanford 24 in Stage 10. With brown terrain bricks and Barramundi roof (nice colour choice lol), but with a thredbo facade. Front and garage doors in Woodland Grey. How much were they charging to soundproof the rumpus? Something I didn't think of before... Cheers Matt Re: PD Stanford 24 Marriott Waters 1st Home 5Aug 11, 2009 8:43 pm Mattf20c How much were they charging to soundproof the rumpus? Re: PD Stanford 24 Marriott Waters 1st Home 9Nov 09, 2009 10:05 am Hey Guys, Just wondering if anyone building a PD house has made their fridge cavity bigger? We are wanting to get a side by side fridge with the ice and water dispenser but our fridge cavity is only 850mm wide and after looking at the fridges it looks like the average width is around 900mm... If we enlarge our fridge space it will either stick out into the hallway or make our cupboards smaller. The other option would be to swap our pantry and fridge, but then our pantry would be smaller - argh!! its such a dilemma!! Is anyone building a Stanford making their fridge area bigger?? and know approx how much it would cost? What are people's suggestions? Re: PD Stanford 24 Marriott Waters 1st Home 10Nov 09, 2009 11:56 am We made our fridge space bigger as we have a side by side fridge and we added a water point. It didn't cost any extra but we did lose a bit off our pantry. Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. Re: PD Stanford 24 Marriott Waters 1st Home 11Nov 09, 2009 12:49 pm Emmzy, if you increase your fridge space, be aware that the dimensions on your plan are TIMBER DIMENSIONS. Remember to allow for your plaster board and your skirting. A space that is 900mm wide on your plans will not fit a 900mm fridge. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Good point joles, as we got caught out by that Luckily, our fridge still just fitted and it's a Whirlpool which breathes from the bottom so it didn't need much space on either side. A fridge space that is 1000mm wide is a good size and fits most standard fridges. Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. Sorry I meant to say that the 850mm was measured in the display so it did include the plaster etc. I have just spoken with PD and they have confirmed that when you put in a fridge tap the fridge space is automatically increased due to the size needed for these types of fridges. It will be 1000mm - I'm assuming this will be the timber dimensions so with plaster etc it will be perfect!! Also, our CSC has ensured me that we won't loose any cupboard space with the increase as they will move into the wall - the frame and studs (or whatever they're called) are not as wide as they would normally be. So not only are we getting a fridge tap, there are also no extra costs for increasing the fridge space and we won't loose valuable cupboard space Re: PD Stanford 24 Marriott Waters 1st Home 14Nov 28, 2009 8:10 pm Hi Em, We have started looking for houses to put on our block which is very exciting and we went to PD today and we really liked the Stanford too! Great choice you have made Are you able to give me a rough idea of your upgrade costs so that I can see what the final price may be close too? You can PM me if you don't want to post it. Can't wait to see how everything goes for you! Thanks, Bek Bek I'm back Re: PD Stanford 24 Marriott Waters 1st Home 15Feb 08, 2010 11:50 am Mattf20c Hey Emmzy, We are also building the Stanford 24 in Stage 10. Now we just wait for the land to be ready........ They say it should be ready end of March - so hopefully in 4-5 weeks time we can get started. Argh its so close now it doesn't seem real. Re: PD Stanford 24 Marriott Waters 1st Home 18Feb 26, 2010 4:29 pm Hi Emmzy Building certainly brings out the impatient side of people, the waiting to start is the hardest part.
