Slab done, and lots of progress pic 22Mar 22, 2010 11:21 pm WOW!!!! It all looks like it's moving along nicely Do you live in the house next to where you're building? I think you're very lucky to get such great progress shots! Can't wait to see more Re: Lyons family build.. Slab done, and lots of progress pic 23Mar 23, 2010 6:54 am Hi Pebbles! Yes, we live in a house at the back of the block, the build is happening at the front. There are 2 little dingos here this morning moving dirt around. Dont really know what they are doing??? Wonder how much that's costing me Kristi Living the dream. 4 horsey acres in the country. What's the next project??? Re: Lyons family build.. Slab done, and lots of progress pic 24Mar 27, 2010 8:24 pm Well.. the frame is almost complete! It's been soooo exciting watching the builders here everyday. And my DD (almost 4) gets sad when they leave, and ecstatic when they arrive the next morning! They've only been at it for 3 days, it's amazing. Just recharging the batteries in the camera so I can upload.. I've loved loved loved! walking through the house and seeing our little bits and pieces and the shape of the room and getting an idea on how things will look. Be back soon... Kristi Living the dream. 4 horsey acres in the country. What's the next project??? Re: Lyons family build.. Slab done, and lots of progress pic 25Mar 29, 2010 9:09 pm No work on the house over the weekend, and typical, it was raining this morning.. so the builders hung around for an hour or so, and then left for the entire day. It stopped raining about 11 ish.. and didn't rain again. But they didn't come back! On a more positive note... I bought some lovely HUMONGOUS yucca plants in two beautiful blue glazed pots for the new house. DH had to go pick them up in a borrowed trailer, as they are seriously enormous. Bargain on Ebay!! Woohoo. They even have babies, so we can do some propagating. Kristi Living the dream. 4 horsey acres in the country. What's the next project??? Re: Lyons family build.. Slab done, and lots of progress pic 26Mar 29, 2010 9:20 pm Congrats on your progress. Must be exciting to watch things move long. Great color selection! My colours are very similar to your ensuite selection, do you know the name of the floor tile in your ensuite? I have also chosen the oyster linea for the bathroom and ensuite cupboards. Will be fun to watch your progress! And our new bab 29Mar 30, 2010 10:28 pm Hi Kristi, you are the luckiest to be living next to the build! I think that would just be the most fantastic experience. Your plan looks terrific! It will be gorgeous in that beautiful Qld location. Your block looks big to me too. Love these choices for your ensuite!! Kristi Ensuite colours (the marble look tile is the floor tile, the dark charcoal tile is the shower floor tile (has to be 200x200) the white tile is the main wall tile, and the smaller rectangular tile is going to be our feature tile and splashback, cupboard doors in Lustrous Elm) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Your ensuite colours are very similar to what we've chosen, can't wait to see them up ~ I'll definitely be seeing yours up before we see ours up! ~ looking forward to watching your build, cheers, J _______________________________________________________________ We're a knockdown | rebuild ~ Melb SE burbs Building modified version of the Fairhaven Glenaire Homeone thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28429 _______________________________________________________________ Re: The Lyons family build...the roof is on! And our new bab 30Mar 30, 2010 11:16 pm Thanks vanilla tree! The ensuite is one of the main rooms I'm excited about seeing. We put so much thought into it, and paid for all those 'little' upgrades, that add up to a packet. Yes, we are very lucky to be living next door. Love Kristi Living the dream. 4 horsey acres in the country. What's the next project??? Re: The Lyons family build...the roof is on! And our new bab 31Mar 31, 2010 7:22 am Our windows have been delivered . Can't wait to see what our house looks like with it's eyes. The builders were out there grinding and drilling and nail gunning at about 6.30 this morning. Hope our neighbours don't hate us too much! Kristi Living the dream. 4 horsey acres in the country. What's the next project??? Re: The Lyons family build...the roof is on! And our new bab 32Apr 03, 2010 4:38 pm The windows were installed on Wednesday. They went in so quickly, it's amazing. I took some piccies this afternoon, so will upload maybe tonight. Just didn't realise how 'white' the white frames would be.. and imagining all the years of dusting I've got down the track . Oh well, they sure look hot!! The site supervisor has said the roof tiles will be going on sometime next week. We have a fantastic supervisor. He has been out to the site most days that I've been home (just caught a glimpse of him coming and going) and he's always willing for a chat and an update. Feeling very lucky after hearing about some other supervisors that are out there. We also bit the bullet and hired a renderer to fix our front fence. DH has attempted to do part of it with 'render it' the pre-mix stuff from bunnings.. but suffice to say it does not look rendered, more like lumpy clay!! So that will be getting done on Thursday. yay!! Love Kristi Living the dream. 4 horsey acres in the country. What's the next project??? Re: The Lyons family build...the roof is on! And our new bab 33Apr 03, 2010 6:31 pm Hi Kristi, congrats on the building of your new home! What a fast build it is too! Have to be happy with that . I loved the shots of the kids in their comfy lounge watching the progress - perfect place for viewing! Glad it is going so well for you & look forward to watching your journey Re: The Lyons family build...the roof is on! And our new bab 34Apr 03, 2010 6:59 pm Thanks Jodie! It's all very exciting isn't it. Yep, the kids love their little set up with the lounge looking out the window. It doesn't last long though . I think we are at similar stages with out build? I had a look through your thread. Looking forward to following yours too! Living the dream. 4 horsey acres in the country. What's the next project??? Re: The Lyons family build...the roof is on! And our new bab 35Apr 04, 2010 8:58 pm Thanks Kristi, I know what you mean about the kids getting bored. We were out there today & after 10 mins our elder son Stephen (almost 4) goes & sits back in the car to play with everything he shouldnt! Hopefully our builders have a busy week this week!!!! Re: The Lyons family build...the roof is on! And our new bab 36Apr 12, 2010 9:45 pm We were away for a week over Easter, but came back on Sunday, and half the roof tiles were on!! They finished them this morning. I just love love love that we picked a nice light colour tile. Although, it will mean a bit of pressure cleaning down the track to keep all the crap off. And our new bab 37Apr 13, 2010 6:47 pm Congrats on the roof tiles - your builders have been busy! Any photo's????? Re: The Lyons family build...the roof is on! And our new bab 38Apr 13, 2010 9:30 pm Jodie: i have only taken one photo, been crazy busy with kids/work etc. But i have the day off tomorrow, so I'll inundate you all with a million photos. Our doors also got delivered today! Totally random don't you think?? Seeing as we don't even have bricks yet? I'm hoping that means they are coming soon! And, our fence got finished today with the render. This guy is absolutely amazing. Such an awesome job. If anyone needs a renderer in Brissie, I know the guy! And really well priced too. I'm so excited!!!!!!! Living the dream. 4 horsey acres in the country. What's the next project???
