Great photos! I haven't been able to keep up with many threads lately, so I'm sorry if this has been discussed, but who did your front fence? Was this included in the build? I like it My tac-home-ter: Been in 8 months! Re: Ultimate Homes in Perth - tiling underway 243Dec 09, 2009 11:35 pm Gorgeous big bathroom and laundry cupboards!! The front of your house is amazing I love those windows viewtopic.php?f=31&t=22766 - my build thread! Time waits for no man. Unless that man is Chuck Norris. Re: Ultimate Homes in Perth - tiling underway 244Dec 10, 2009 10:38 am It is tough to keep up with all the WA threads as there is so many. Especially when you are having great progress on your own house! We got the builder to do the fence. We have spoken to the painter and he is also going to paint the house too (we have quickly selected the colours in the last few days). So no painting when we move in! With any luck, the patio will also be installed before we get the keys! Re: Ultimate Homes in Perth - Sanitary plumbing started 245Dec 10, 2009 11:51 am Looks like a nice job - you will certainly enjoy your winter mornings now. We also have floor heating in our bathrooms AND living areas - it is sooooo good. Ours was installed by Radiant - When you move to Perth from the UK you think that you wont need heating - OMG the first winter here we were so cold, no heating in the rental, loads of single glazed windows & as it turned out, no insulation either! I think the lowest temp I recorded INSIDE the house was 7 deg C (not very comforatable at all!) Our new house is very cozy now, but next time we build we will certainly up the spec & put R5 insulation in the roof & also look at double glazing too to reduce the heat losses & gains. We will certainly have floor heating & heated towel rails too! Re: Ultimate Homes in Perth - tiling underway 246Dec 10, 2009 1:05 pm Its looking great Dragon!!! I bet your kitchen is going to look A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. when it is all finished! Very classy! (Shall we give the credit to you, or Mrs Dragon? ) Hope you enjoyed your week in China! Bring on PCI!!! Re: Ultimate Homes in Perth - tiling underway 247Dec 10, 2009 1:58 pm davedownunder - we too used Radiant! Very good so far - just need to wait for the controllers to be installed but that should be the simple part. This is the first time I will be experiencing floor heating so can't wait to use it. The R5 insulation is intereting! Can you even get R5 yet? R4 is being provided as standard by the builder and I thought this was over the top. McBecks - the kitchen was designed to Mrs Dragon's specifications (including roll out crockery shelves). I did not want to argue as she will be in there most of the time....... Re: Ultimate Homes in Perth - tiling underway 252Dec 10, 2009 11:17 pm Hmmm Mrs Dragon's name is Bec also! Tinfish - the painting cost was high....do you really want to know? $5600. This includes sealing and two coats. He has done the seal and will do the first coat later this week. He will come back for the final coat after the plumber and electrician has done their bit. This also includes pink for the girls rooms, blue for the boys rooms, another colour for our bed, study, library and home theatre and something else for the rest. They have four painters working and can do a coat in one day!! Re: Ultimate Homes in Perth - tiling underway 253Dec 11, 2009 1:17 am Wow! Sooo expensive!! This means that they have sealed and painted behind the mirrors in the bathrooms too!
